I may escape in the next few days to Nfld and Lab.

Halifax - Deer Lake - Red Bay - Cartwright then turn around.
PM me if you are heading that way and looking for another rider.
    I will run solo otherwise.

Hey, man, we are heading to Happy Valley-Goose Bay tomorrow, plan to be in there in 3 -4 days. Not enough time available to do the complete loop around the maritimes.

    Have a safe trip. :D

I am in Deer Lake now, got the 2am ferry last night.
This weather is amazing, rain keeps missing me and now hot and sunny.
Foggy and crap at Port aux Basques then nirvana 20 miles north.

I am in Gander now, getting my Ohlins rear shock mount welded. I made it to Cartwright ( great road and scenery ) then took the ferry to Lewisporte. Spent yesterday on Fogo Island, then my lower mount broke just above the saddle bracket below the clicker, sheared clean off.

The reason was that the rated metric bolt sheared off somehow earlier on the blind side near the swingarm( ?? ) and the side load stressed out the vertical threaded aluminum so then it sheared.
Made it 80kms to Gander on cable ties and parachute cord.
It is being welded now and I hope to be heading home shortly.

The Cartwright road is a dream north of Charlottetown, smooth 2 track hard pack for 200 kms. I ran 70 - 80 kph. Gas in Ch'town is $ 1.20 / liter .
Fill up in St Barbe before Blanc Sablon, $1.11 in Sablon.

The lower 200 kms is more knarly, graders working some stretches and lots of gravel all over but not spread too thick so it is not really bad.

Do not speed into the sun heading north, you can't see FA. One GS1200 is in a shed there after crashing last month. I looked it over.

    Over and out for now.
