Anyone riding this weekend?
Bathurst. The couch beckons.
Mmmm. think that may be as option.
Better option be there in person
I wish would stop raining up here
We'll probably be watching a Kiwi win.
in a taxi...?
About time this thread got resurrected!
I’m lucky enough to live within 25km of Paul’s range and Toolangi. Managed a quick loop this afternoon, loads of bikes and 4x4 about. Tracks were all in very good condition, one positive to come from lockdown, no one was out flogging the place through a wet winter. Finished with a beer at the local. Feels good!
We shall call you Jesus ! Yes this thread has really died off. A shame as I met some great people on here many years ago.
Great to see you out riding :)
I am currently bike-less thanks to the Covid lockdown slamming my business but if I can make it through to the New Year with all the wheels still on I am looking at a new bike, albeit a much smaller one than I had.
So I might be keen for some rides if folk are going. I'd like to see more of what people here are doing as we gain our freedoms back.
I for one will not be rushing back into the shops or going to places where there are lots of people and my country Vic mates are dreading the unleashing of pent up Melburnians. (None are in the tourism industry obviously lol)
I think I will wait a bit and let the hype subside then go quietly to a few of my favourite places...
I'm also within 25kms of some decent riding. I'm yet to take the WR out as things are opening up again.
Hopefully very soon, there's some tracks I've been dieing to explore on the little bike!
Sounds like maybe some more rides like this to come :)
Yo, some unexpected spots in that 25k radius
Perfect day for a tootle yesterday.
Vineyards are bursting with new green, too.
where is that Glitch?
MEL eastern fringe.
Don't know exactly as I was "the follower" this time.
Was great to be shown some new places and tracks.... when usually proclaiming to know just about every nook and cranny of "my neighbourhood".
Top was a tiny picnic area and fern grove near Emerald, the other barely 5 mins out of Gladysdale among a whole maze of gravel/ dirt roads, top northern edge of the Bunyip SP, sorta.
Couple more...on the way to the meet at Olinda Pub.
BYO lunch at Kurth Kiln
A former "no-through" at Yellinbo
Pinching the better half's little XT250 next weekend for some more exploring... no way I'll have a random Kiwi showing me my place!
Random Kiwiis are the best Kiwis
Looks like Prices road Gladysdale looking North East, Yarra Junction to the North.
@mrsdnf can confirm...
Nice, I was buzzing round that area tdy, Kurth Kiln had walkers everywhere
Not sure I've been down Prices road. I was out yesterday in that area and had no idea where I was. I know I did a couple of circles in opposite directions.
I'll fess up now, I get lost at the end of my driveway and have no memory of road names. Always have and probably always will.
'twas fairly quiet on Monday, not even horses on the tracks around the back.
Oooh. Your right near me, and a few others on here. Once lockdown is over we should go out for a spin. I know some decent gravel roads we can explore and some fun twisty roads too
