Today I took the 701 out for a spin thorough the forrests towards the Ada Tree. With slightly lower tyre pressure it was running awesome and punched through he access roads. Until it didn't.

I was stranded 2 km from the Ada Tree. Some sort of fuelling issue. I suspect either a combination of air lock in the new front tanks and kinked fuel line or the fuel filter has clogged, or the low fuel level wasn't enough to get into the lower fuel collection 'cup'. I'll investigate later on

I managed to limp back into East Warburton when it died again. After 20 mins it started and I filled the stock tank with 98.

Made it home before the rain really came down!

Yeah for Sure. The Avons are terrifying offroad in the mud. I've got set of D606 rear and Pirelli Scorpion Front in a 19/17 set for longer offroad excursions

This Saturday, enduro loop at Tanjil east of Melb. if you're good, 690/701 capable, no bigger bikes, you'll be in a world of hurt and holding us up. Preference is enduro mounts. A 70ish km loop of single track (ie, tight stuff between trees) and open tracks.
    Anyone interested?

Love to go Richo but have prior arrangements. Might be a good thing as its been 10 months since I've ridden a dirt bike.

I'd love too but I'm away on the 701 this weekend. Would the wr250f on rec reg be more suitable?

Yes, definitely Neo. the smaller bike. Last ride we spent a lot of time getting over logs, some 4", some 3' or more.

Awesome. The WR is getting it's suspension sorted and Will be back in action soon. I'll keep an eye out on this thread for the upcoming ride.

280 ks on the motard SE today, peninsula to Yarra junction (about 4kms of dirt on the way, that was fun.....)
Across through Poweltown to Nooj pub, then home via Neerim Junction, Longwarry and Koo-wee.

Bloody roadworks everywhere. Not fun sitting in the sun on a hot bike in Klim gear waiting for those lazy roadwork bastards to turn their lolipop around.
Went through at least 5 sets of roadworks, at least 20 parked trucks, various machinery, lots leaning on brooms, only saw 2 people actually working. FFS, i bet they go home at the end of the day feeling proud.
