Sure thing Braaap! Keep you posted.
Oooh. I'm busy this Wed, but keen for midweek jaunts. Keep me in the loop!
Holy sheet... A ride offered here. On this thread, that's something I haven't seen for a loong time...
Us normal people are working during the week but I'm keen for possible weekend rides.
Well, the following weekend we're out on the enduro bikes for a few days...
Well look at you Mr "I am out riding my bike all the time" Good for you Richo
You boys weren't coming back from Kinglake via St Andrews Road yesterday were you ?
Nah, not me.
5 months of lockdown, I'm riding.
Today I took the 701 out for a spin thorough the forrests towards the Ada Tree. With slightly lower tyre pressure it was running awesome and punched through he access roads. Until it didn't.
I was stranded 2 km from the Ada Tree. Some sort of fuelling issue. I suspect either a combination of air lock in the new front tanks and kinked fuel line or the fuel filter has clogged, or the low fuel level wasn't enough to get into the lower fuel collection 'cup'. I'll investigate later on
I managed to limp back into East Warburton when it died again. After 20 mins it started and I filled the stock tank with 98.
Made it home before the rain really came down!
Awesome mate ! You would have had fun in the mud on the su mo wheelset in the rain though !
Yeah for Sure. The Avons are terrifying offroad in the mud. I've got set of D606 rear and Pirelli Scorpion Front in a 19/17 set for longer offroad excursions
This Saturday, enduro loop at Tanjil east of Melb. if you're good, 690/701 capable, no bigger bikes, you'll be in a world of hurt and holding us up. Preference is enduro mounts. A 70ish km loop of single track (ie, tight stuff between trees) and open tracks.
Love to go Richo but have prior arrangements. Might be a good thing as its been 10 months since I've ridden a dirt bike.
I'd love too but I'm away on the 701 this weekend. Would the wr250f on rec reg be more suitable?
Yes, definitely Neo. the smaller bike. Last ride we spent a lot of time getting over logs, some 4", some 3' or more.
Awesome. The WR is getting it's suspension sorted and Will be back in action soon. I'll keep an eye out on this thread for the upcoming ride.
@braaap! check your messages re tomorrow
Another ride out East... (greater Alexandra area )
Nice pics .
Which part of the desert did you say you went through Glitch .
What happened to the 50 plus mm of ☔ rain they where supposed to have had !
Aw fcuk, Now I have to get a ‘small’ bike as well?.. And a bigger shed!
280 ks on the motard SE today, peninsula to Yarra junction (about 4kms of dirt on the way, that was fun.....)
Across through Poweltown to Nooj pub, then home via Neerim Junction, Longwarry and Koo-wee.
Bloody roadworks everywhere. Not fun sitting in the sun on a hot bike in Klim gear waiting for those lazy roadwork bastards to turn their lolipop around.
Went through at least 5 sets of roadworks, at least 20 parked trucks, various machinery, lots leaning on brooms, only saw 2 people actually working. FFS, i bet they go home at the end of the day feeling proud.
