Heading up tomorrow instead of Friday. Might cost me though as the trade-off will be my wife and daughter are heading to SF for 2 days of shopping :eek1

Should roll in about 6:00 or so w/ hopefully the 530 and the 200. Looking forward to some more relaxed trails given that my wrist is chipped from the Crosscut a few weeks ago. It's been 40 years since I've been camping...I'll be the guy who needs an engineering degree to set up his tent. Cigars to anyone willing to assist/advise/mock. Gonna be a great weekend, I am looking forward to meeting some folks.

It looks like my riding partner won't be able to make this ride :-( Does anyone in the South or North Bay with a big bike want to take the route below up with me? JustPaul put this route together, I want to avoid the slab as much as possible. I'm departing from Santa Clara and am somewhat flexible on departure time. Can meet anywhere in the Bay, would feel more comfortable not riding solo on the backroads. Open to suggestions.

Don't know if you've ever rode Pilsbury but the trails are anything but relaxed unless youy stay on the roads. If you do Windy Gap start at the top and come down.

I'm in Willits so Pilsbury is just over the hill and it is raining right now but the weekend should be nice.

If anyone is still around... I'm getting over the tail-end of a cold or something and I'm opting out of getting drenched today. I'm planning on heading up to camp tomorrow. Stay safe, have fun! :thumb

As of 7:30 it's still sprinkling in Ukiah. Might be a drippy night lakeside...

Thurs: Departed EastBay at 10AM with Titus58, SpecialAgentNancy, and duitswes. Wet all the way up US101. Co Rd 301 (Eel River/Elk Mountain) was slick after 'pavement ends' at bridge over Eel River: Arrived 3PM.

Nice and dry in Camp all night.

Fri: Clear Sky at 6AM. Rode out on M-1/Co Rd 301 at sunrise. Had the uberbeast, so no single track today. Was wet/drizzle at 7AM.. Nice, Sunny, and cool after 7:40AM. Most folks will try to ride today.

    Stacking fails today.

My powerlet gave out right before I got a flat on Palomares Road. Goldentaco came by with a working pump and we eventually got the tube changed (21" in an 18" wheel) and the wheel re-installed. Then I broke the strap on my backpack. :eek1

I think the universe might be trying to tell me something. Back at home with a list of improvements to make to get the Husky ready to ride up for the Sheetiron. :thumb

Looks like I'll be riding Carnegie this weekend. :D

And a great time was had again :freaky A bit wet this year, but that is sometimes the price for the awesome spring scenery. I rode up Hull mountain and Sanhedrin Mountain with SFMCJohn in the afternoon. Snow is almost gone. The morning I rode over direction Snow mountain trail system -- once there you have to hike though to access the best scenic spots. Awesome scenery this time of the year if you know where to look. Great food too, thanks to our hosts :clap

See you all again next year! With the KTM maybe. I think I have by now seen everything possible to access with the 650 Dakar.

Rolled in about 7:30 this evening. What a great time!!! At least 10-12 hearty folks rode in on Thursday thru the rain and muddy roads.

The trails were in great shape for riding on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, snow once again blocked access past Hull Mountain to the north.

Yummy food and beer all weekend too. Great job Dean, Corey, Marcia and Dave for the main organizing and to all the others who made it a great weekend.

Looking forward to pics and ride reports. :freaky

Thanks, Dean, Cory, et al, for putting this together. The grub was great. Super campsite. Grand crowd. Only rained on the way in. The rest was ideal.

My pics can be found here.

Hey everyone, I made it home taking the M6 and FH7. My clutch died on I-5 a few miles from my house. Better there than on M6 :1drink
Hope everyone had a safe ride home and look forward to seeing you at rallys in the future,

    Joe
