Great weekend, got a flat on the truck on the road between Pillsbury and Upper Lake, naturally I did not have the lug wrench. ADV!
Made it home, just a wee bit stiff today.
That little CT kicked ass....my ass, anyway.

Did anybody ride out to Stonyford, or, up to Covelo? Just wondering the condition of the roads....

Huuuge thanks to Dean, Janet and crew for making this trip one of the highlights of my year.

I can't say enough about how much fun it is riding around Pilsbury with everyone.

Now I have to wait a few days for my body to recover.

The Mendo Rally is the King of all rallys . Definitely not the place to loose weight. The riding conditions were unbeatable.
Thank you to the organizers and the workers. I will be there next year for sure! P1050099.JPG P1050115.JPG P1050093.JPG P1050094.JPG

A few of us went on Saturday. M1/M6/311 out, M10 back. Roads were fine. A bit slick and gravelly, no major washouts. A few small water crossings, but not more than maybe 2ft deep. A few DR650 and 990s made it through.

As everyone else said, thanks so much to Dean, Janet, and the rest of the countless volunteer hours that went into this weekend. I had such a good time, today has been a real shock back to reality. I haven't eaten that well, probably since last year's rally!

I had a great time meeting some new friends and visiting with the old. I successfully cycled to the top of Hull Mountain, swam in the lake, rode +100mi of beautiful roads, and ripped up some awesome singletrack all in one weekend. Where else can you get that??

The food was freaking awesome, I gained weight. I thought for sure that paint-mixer CT shook some out of me, but nooooooooooo
Tip of the apron to Dean, Janet, Sharon, and all the helpers. Outstanding!

That was a fun weekend! Thanks to the organizers and everyone else I met. I clocked over 500 miles of awesome riding for the weekend. It was just what I needed.

...and Bear Creek was only axle deep. Darn bad information...

This was my second year and thought it would be hard to beat least year. Wrong! I had a blast. The riding, the food, and the people were outstanding. Thanks again to the organizers. Amazing job.

With everything washed and put away I gotta say,, to all of the volunteers, Dean and Janet I appreciate everyone's effort. To say it was a great event is an understatement. Thanks to the riders that put up with me on the Friday ride. Heal quickly Chris. Thanks to my neighbors for being so social with a first timer, esp John and Charlotte. And lastly Torrey says thanks for all of the head pats

Had a great time as usual and many thanks to all involved who help put this on. Yes, I had an incident Sunday where I hit a deer on my 450EXC which resulted in a broken fibula and some very painful bruising. At the ortho doc right now seeing if I need surgery or not. Still had a great time at the rally though.

Jeez Chris, you should of let Aaron drive.
Anyway, you have a year to recover. The dates for Mendo Rally 7
    are going to be 5/3-5/7.

Seriously, let us know what the doc says. Remember later this summer
we're going to do the Oregon BCDT.

Yeah. About that. Just found out I'm having surgery on Monday. My ligaments are torn in my ankle as well as the broken fibula. So, I won't be back on a bike for at least 6 months.

He even wanted to stop for a burger in Upper Lake. I had to help him hobble into the store to order.

I think we should have this thing next year over our fire pit and we'll need more wood. :jack
