Thanks very much Dean for organizing such a fun event, and to everyone for a great time, in a remarkable location, with excellent food and engaging camaraderie. I too repeat and endorse all the compliments others have registered here for all the chefs/cooks, volunteers, washers, helpers, etc. without which the event wouldn't have run as smoothly or been as much fun. And fun it was! I was back for my second year which truly made a big difference in getting the most out of a couple of days riding and getting deeper into conversation with some fine people. God willing I'll be back next year as well! No doubt Mendo can be mean (sorry to hear about your crash Chris !) but it's got a wonderful rider's vibe and yet offers plenty of challenges regardless of one's level of expertise. Who's have thought that dodging deer would be one of them!

Thanks Dean, Janet and everyone else who helped organize this trip! Second year and it just keeps getting better.

Janet - Thanks for the kids body armor! My sons will get some good use out of it (once they get a little bigger!)

ChrisBTSC - Sucks to hear about the deer hit. Hope you heal up quickly.

You guys better bring that brown liquor back next year. I'm disappointed in our consumption - raincheck!

So, how was the lake this year? I recall last year was about a 10' drop from where the camp site was.

The water level was way up compared to last year. There was water in the cove behind camp. Rowland was able to keep his boat there.

I'm glad everybody had a great time. Thanks to Janet and Sharon for shopping help and
setting up. Also to John and Kevin for cooking themselves over the grill. And let's not forget
NoMamesSF for getting us such a good deal on the beer from Southern Pacific Brewing Co.
Too bad he had to work at the last minute and missed the rally.

My buddy Pete (Leadman) being at the rally got so enthused about bikes again he went out and bought
    a brand new WR250r today.

It'll be fun to get him out riding again. He says he's not going to farkle it too much, we'll see.

    Dean,

I'm pretty sure the beer was from Southern Pacific Brewing Co.

Hey, Congratulations Pete! It was great chatting with you, but it will be even better to motor through some serious mud as well :-). One of my buddies has the bike you picked, and he just raves on its virtues, so I think you will be very happy with your purchase. Oh, and since my family has a history of the M ear thing, during our dizzy days, we can do the dirt together :-) Maybe collectively, we can remain upright! Enjoy and I look forward to meeting your new bike next year :-)
