Thanks Mooney. (Hopefully, I got that right) I figure the WR will be a "tad" easier to motor up Hull Mtn and beyond versus pedal power. Kudos to Dean, Janet and the crew on putting together such a great event.

Chris, I am sorry about your mishap with the deer and hope that you recover quickly.

Here is my pile of pics I have not included the countless photos of my bike in the wilderness, because I am pretty sure that only I am having this supernatural love affair with my 23 year old kick start Thank you Dean and many others for your advise on how to keep her going. I super appreciate it!

Thank you again Dean, Janet, Sharon and all other who made this fantastic adventure possible. Thank you also to all the fine people I meet along the way. There was not a bad apple in the bunch. In short, you kids rock!

Thank you all for the well wishes. This last week has been pretty tough for me as I have a really hard time asking for help. So relying on others is something I'm not good at. I have surgery tomorrow. They will be screwing my fibula back together and then reattaching the ligaments in my ankle. Should be "fun"

So disappointed that Linéa and I could not make it out this year; a work conference in San Diego had me cornered. The first Mendo rally I've missed, hopefully it never happens again !

Looks like you kids had fun, gotta catch up on some campfire stories sometime.....

Sorry you missed it Jonathan. Thanks for giving Joe the light, it helped
a bunch. You know we ran it completely off a battery this year with an inverter.
A couple of the guys work at a solar energy company and brought a prototype
battery that stores 1.2 kilowatts of energy. We used it to run the lights,
charge some devices and run the food processor.

Anyway we'll see you next year.

Man I missed a lot of fun and action this year! Sorry that Chris got bent and wish the best for a speedy recovery.

We just have too much going this year with the baby, I just started a new job, we are headlong in a kitchen renovation that is now getting expedited as we might get a different house, and I'm barely going to have time to finish prepping the bike for the Sheetiron- let alone get my training in line the next 2 weeks.

Hopefully things will settle down enough that I can make it next year. Glad you all had fun- the crew that puts this on is top notch.

HA!!!! I feel great. I went back to work on Tuesday and have been working all week. Because, they couldn't do surgery on Monday. I was too swollen still. My new surgery date is the 19th. Really kind of sucks too, because at this point I'm off all pain killers and starting to feel decent. Now they will most likely have to re-break my leg and fix all the other mess. So, next Thursday the 19th is the day.

Thank you so much but as of today I have now been pushed back another week. Still too swollen to do the surgery. My frustration level is through the roof.

Just a quick update as I'm still a bit groggy. I did have my surgery yesterday and all went will with a couple little hiccups. I am home now resting and finally able to start healing almost a month after my initial injury. Thank you all for thinking of me. It means a lot.
