    We have reservations!!

So now we can start the real "In List".

Since it seems everybody wants steak the price this year will be $70.
And, we're going to have Ribeye or New York, no sirloin or chuck.
The tentative menu as of now is Wednesday - pasta, Thursday - steak,
Friday - fajitas (since it's May 5th) and Saturday - pork shoulder from the smoker
    and BBQ chicken.

    Please pay via payapl at
Mendorally@yahoo.com. If you need to pay a different
way just PM me and we'll figure it out. When you do pay please use the send money to friends and family so we aren't charged. Also, in the memo box please put you adv name and your real name, it just avoids a bunch of confusion.

Now our money person SanGJan is diving sunken wrecks in Palau for the next two weeks and has no internet access so I won't know who's actually paid. So just post that you did and I'll put you on the list and confirm when she returns.

Refundable cancellations are allowed until 4/19. If you cancel after that you can sell or give away your spot. And no scalping of your highly valuable spot once you have it. (as if that's going to happen) Scalpers will be banned from future attendance.

Remember 50 spots available and be prepared for mud and snow this year.

Also, for those interested in the recon ride, I'm thinking 4/8, leaving from Sonoma County and up to Pillsbury. Anybody's welcome to come. Full street tires will most likely be a mistake.

Anyway, there you go. Let the List begin.

OK, time to start the thread. The natives are getting restless. :clap

The planned dates this year are Wednesday May 3rd through Monday May 8th.
That means we'll have our great Fuller Grove campsite Wednesday through Sunday nights.
Of course this is based on PG&E having the site open, the official opening date is Friday
May 5th. I asked them to open earlier but I haven't heard back from them yet. Stay tuned.

I'm guessing it's going to be muddy and snow in the upper elevations so I think we'll need a hose
for cleaning the bikes. We'll try to remember to bring one this year.

The price should be $60 again as long as the camp fees haven't been increased.
Fees include camping, dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Maybe Wednesday too if there's not too many campers the first night. It also includes beer, soft drinks and snacks.

Now we did have thought of bumping the cost $10 and having steak on Thursday night,
let me know what everybody thinks of that. I reserve the right to make the final decision though.

Last year's menu seemed to work out well so we'll it'll probably be quite similar.
It will be fajitas on Friday, you can figure out why.

For payment we'll do PayPal again but not until reservations are confirmed for
the campsite. I'll post the PayPal address when we start collecting $.

Remember too, this group campsite is limited to 50 people and it's for tent camping.

If you have an RV you can stay at the Fuller Grove individual site campground,
all of 3 minutes away. And you can still have meals and hang out with everybody. RV's
are allowed at the group site but take up too much of the available parking.
And, if the group campsite fills up (which it will) the overflow folks can set up camp in the individual site.

Remember the Rally is the camping event. Not an organized riding event. Riding is whatever you and your friends want to do.

That being said there's plenty of great riding in this area.

I know this description is a little short but most of you know what to expect
after four years, but feel free to ask any questions or make reasonable comments.

I'm not starting an official in list until reservations for the campsite are confirmed.
Too many people believed that their space was reserved from the initial "in list"
and missed signing up when the reservation list started.

Now you're welcome to indicate that you'll be attending but no official list will be
    started until payment is required.

Also, no refunds if you cancel after April 12th. Last year we had a few last minutes cancellations
and we had to scramble to get the last few sign-ups. However, if you need to cancel after that
you can sell or give away your spot to somebody else.

So start planning to get those days off! I know some of you already have.

And yes, I cut and pasted much of this from last year.

Some good news PG&E contacted me and they will open the site early for us on 5/3.
So we're 99% set on our dates. The only thing that can change is if another party reserves the
site for an entire week. Anybody that makes one week reservations can currently do so.
For less than a week, reservations can't be made until 3/6.

I really doubt that's going to happen, it's like this every year and it hasn't happened yet.

Also, apparently you guys really want steak. So I'm going to tentatively plan on that for the menu. :dukegirl
