That's why I didn't take any photos. It wasn't earned

Went back to the Mendo on the weekend and was able to make the summit of Hull and Signal Peak on Sanhedrin. We may have been the first to Signal after winter because we did not see any other tracks in the dirt or snow. Rode some killer single track at PP next day including trail 38. Saw many riders from the Sheetiron at the Soda creek store. P1050440_Moment.jpg P1050433.JPG IMG_0792.JPG

Luke looks like he's enjoying the "warm water."

On Thursday, I think we got our bikes a few hundred feet closer than you did!

In all honesty, we didn't even try. Got to that point and just decided to hike the rest of the way. We still had to pack up and drive home after that.

Sherry and I went to Mendo NF this past weekend and did some dispersed camping in the van. Made it to the top of Hull Mountain. No snow encountered on the road to the summit. Snow does block further driving north towards Covelo.

Three weeks after the Mendo Rally, the great swimming hole was looking pretty sad. It was 3-4 feet deep but without water flowing, it wasn't very appealing.

We did find two viable low water swimming/wading holes. This one was a bit upstream (maybe a 1/4 mile) and looked promising.

    Deep enough to get wet.

Water wasn't cold at all. :photog

We didn't test or get pics of the second one, but I did note the location for next year. Its down near the Soda Creek store.

Should we be marking our calendars for a Mendo 2018?

Geez I thought I'd make it til February before starting the new thread.
Plan is the first weekend in May as usual. Again depending on PG&E
    opening the site.

I was up there a couple of weeks ago, lake was a little low.
I'll get the new thread started shortly.

Hi Dean, No worries. I didn't want to be the first to ask. I am just planning ahead for the year. When you are retired, scheduling can be tight.:imaposer

I had a feeling this thread would start up soon. Once again, I can't wait for the event again this year.
