Haven't seen Bear Creek and as of Friday am noone had been over there yet to check it out.

We tried to get to Covelo on Thursday but there was a bunch of snow in various areas North of Hull Mtn. You can get to Hull and the Peak with no problem but the snow in places North of Hull Mtn on M1 was still 2ft deep. We did manage to make tracks through a bunch of drifts up to about 7 miles North of Hull on M1 just before the Barley Lk turnoff (20N65) but we had to turn around. The cleared tracks when we returned about an hour later were melting pretty good so by Saturday more riders may have attempted to get through but beyond the Barley Lk turnoff I haven't seen yet.

Coordinates of where we got on Thursday are
    39.594829, -122.961831

Yes, this report jives with what we found last weekend, which was a sign at the intersection of M6 and Hull Mtn Rd that the road was closed 30 miles ahead. We rode up Hull Mtn Rd maybe 3 miles to the intersection with M1 and found a similar sign so we turned around and rode M6 East out to 307 which is the dirt road that parallels FH7 out to Stonyford, which was a fun ride on our mid sized adventure bikes. Frustrating because when I had called the Ranger Station the day before I was told all roads were open.

oh, by the way, I forgot my folding chair there. It's red and says "Sports Authority" somewhere I think. Hopefully someone got it and can bring it back next year, or to the DVNR.

Awesome weekend. Thank you to all for being great camp/ride buddies. The entire weekend surpassed my expectations.

    Highlights...

    • Snow crossings (my first)
    • Food, food, food
    • Perfect weather
    • Scenes galore, elk sightings
    • Watching the folks at Soda Springs store prepare raw chicken while the cat’s tail hung over the food
    • Dropping my bike 6-8 times and not once had to pick her up by myself
    • Offering KFC chicken to @mootsuno :lol3
    • Riding a 250 dirt bike for the first time to the top of Hull Mountain (didn’t drop her once)
    • Riding up with @goldentaco, following an awesome mixed route
    • Staring down the face of the law, red handed, and walking away without a ticket
    • Listening to music each night next the the fire with great people

Janet it looks more like Kenny from South Park.

Also, Marcello, your red chair is now in storage.

Glad everyone had a good time. After Vu's review we should hire him to be
    our advertising executive.

Looks like you guys had perfect weather once again :brow. Wanted to come but had to work Saturday so will save my sheckles and try to pick up a used 250-400cc dualsport in time for next year's event. Was the lake nearly full? It looked that way from that pic posted looking over the bank at Fuller Grove.

Yet another Mendo rally goes in the books.
Great event. Much more low-key than the Noobs Rally (and more fun, IMO).

The annual pilgrimage up to the top of Hull Mtn on my (new to me) Fe350... Lake Pillsbury and the airstrip (aka Gravely Valley International Airport :lol3:lol3):

    IMG_1630.JPG

The a few of us decided to go look for Mr Hull's resting spot... but this was all we could find:

    IMG_1631.JPG

... there was still many snow drifts in the shady areas.

The Elk were out in force:

    IMG_1632.JPG

Finally... I got my dirt bike, well, dirty, so it needed a good wash...

Huge thanks to everyone who had a part in making this event happen. Too bad the turn out was a bit thin this year.

Thank you Dean, Janet and everyone involved in the planning of this awesome event. Really enjoyed the food, camp fire, story telling, and the riding. It was great to welcome some new blood and old blood back to the event. Happy trails until next year.....
