Yep, and the weather forecast looks pretty good.
10% chance of rain with 60's on the coast and 70's inland.

Have about 8 going so far that I know of and some others
that said they might. Possibly even a 2up'er on a 1200GSA.

If anybody wants to ride up to Willits with a few of us
we'll be leaving from Peets Coffee in Cotati at 7am.

That should easily get us to Willits by 9am.

We also will check Friday to see if there's power at Fortuna hotels
and gas stations. May have to do some adjustments.

Also, here's my Spot page if anyone would like to track us.

I'll check to see if Usal will be closed.
If it is we'll just do the loop in reverse
and ride Usal on Sunday and the eastern
    part of the ride Saturday.

Easy solution. As long as Fortuna has power
    at the hotels!

FYI. It's not an actual race. It's a timed ride. Their website says all roads are open to vehicle traffic.

Thanks for the info Chris. I see the ride starts at 9am and only does part of Usal.
We probably won't get to Usal beach until around noon so there shouldn't be too
    much overlap with their ride.

Oh, I just checked with the hotel and Fortuna has it's power back on.

See you at Burger King in Willits at 9am Saturday morning. I'm headed up Tomki Rd. to splash through some creek crossings and get in a little extra dirt mileage. I'm bringing the lightweight Africa Twin.

Brother is meeting in Willits Saturday morning. No fun riding Beta on FWY.

Yeah. Been since before CDR-TAT since I was on the thread. Forgot how to find it. Forgot password. etc. etc.

We ended up with a real adventure ride. Round trip from Cotati was just under 600 miles.
Lots of fun but we had some drama too. We'll get it posted over the next couple of days.

Been busy the last few days to write this up but here's a teaser.
3 flats, sharing Usal Road with the gravel bike race, riding through
Murder Mountain and a head on collision with a Chevy pickup in Mendo
Natl Forest. (spoiler nobody was killed)

Not much drama on day 1. Nice ride near the coast from Willits to Fortuna (except for the gravel bike race). Pic is looking back at coast around Capetown just before getting to Fortuna.
