My first trip into Mexico on a bike will be to Copper Canyon for 5-7 days. I understand I must buy Mexican insurance before entering Mexico. Where do I find an insurance agent? What is the cost? What is covered? Anyone ever had to use their policy and did it pay? Thanks for any information.

    I use these guys:

    www.mexadventure.com

Never had a claim, so I don't really know if it's worth the paper it's printed on.

The company that actually insures the bike has to be in Mexico. Otherwise, the insurance isn't valid.

I understand that AAA offices near the boarder can set you up with Mexican isurance.

I have no experience with AAA doing the insurance. The most well known source for buying at-the-border is Sanborn's who has many offices.

You best prices will come from online, not storefront.
