Indeed. Today I was a bit down. Likely, a bit of transference in my post. I’m glad you are all my brothers.

A celebratory and satisfying experience with the lady. We all wish for this one more time before our end.

This has been a brilliant trip for me as a reader and for you as a motorcyclist, a man and like it or not a writer. You have a gift. Thanks for sharing. You have motivated me, a dormant biker recently returned to it by way of a hacked 1200gsa to explore these roads. As I live in Montana I'm going to start with what is right out my back door. Cheers and I hope to see you on the road some day.

As winter enters our lives in the northeast, I found myself trolling Trip Reports in hopes of furthering my knowledge and excitement for our CDI run in 2020. Fortunately, I happened upon this thread and was quickly engrossed. I noticed it was 23 pages and settled in to enjoy the adventures of your trip, pausing often to daydream about our own travels a year and a half from now. Sadly, I have come to the end of your writing and realize that a) there is more to come.... and b) like many others comments here, I too am hungry for more of your magical pen. To you “bawanajames”, thanks for the experience, and please do write some more.

Be sure to indulge yourself with his other ride reports, as this is not a one off.

For those of you who are intrigued by BwanaJames's last post, you might be interested to note that it was literally a real-life echo of his all-time favorite movie, "Out of Africa". As hard as it was for him to turn his back on sweet Cindy and charming Choteau and resume his solo adventure, I think that Jim's favorite quote from that movie sums up his feelings.

Denys Finch (Robert Redford) saying goodbye to his lover Karen Von Blixen (Meryl Streep)

Karen: "When you go away... you don't always go on safari, do you? Just want to be away."
Denys: "It's not meant to hurt you."
    Karen: "It does."
Denys: "I'm with you because I choose to be with you. I don't want to live someone else's idea of how to live. Don't ask me to do that. I don't want to find out one day that I'm at the end of someone else's life."

Bwana, I spent early summer mostly in BC, and really disliked the almost daily drizzle. When I got to Glacier NP, no rain. How was your weather while riding through Colorado north through the Rockies?

The only term I've ever seen or heard used in Alberta is "Texas Gate". Excellent report btw.

Perhaps I missed it, if so please excuse the question.

The paper maps and the GPS software you acquired from ?

Open source from the web or someplace else?

I just read @rtwpaul interview of another awesome ADVrider brother and thought how fitting it would be for Bwanajames to also be interviewed given his own adventures and exceptional writing talent.:clap
