I watched the movie and Tom Cruise kept throwing out a leg while cornering on the street. This seems crazy to me. I assume that he had a stunt rider giving advice. Am I the only one questioning the use of a leg like this?

He just did it in the movie to make it look cool. Cruise knows how to ride.

If you pick out all the stuff that's wrong in movies, you'll never have time to do anything else.

Maybe he saw some grass clippings in the street that some careless lawn mower operator blew out there, endangering all on two wheels. Or maybe some tar snakes. Every good adventure rider knows he was wrong. He should have stood up on the pegs.

If he had loud pipes he wouldn't be at any risk at all. After all, they do save lives. :rofl

Like the "new" boxer sound. Sounds like an XR. Jeeez...
As for Cruise, he's never been wrapped to tight.

I liked where he started on a Moto Guzzi that wouldn't start and ends up on a BMW, plus the Tiger cameo. The riding foot down did look stupid , especially how sequenced. If he was actually sliding the bike like that, it would have been kool

Did it at least sound right? Or was it the 9speed 2T 125 sound used in every other film?

Still do it on occasion on impulse from dirt bike days. Say, if i feel slipping in a turn... gravel, sand...etc, but just to go fast, nah. thats for motard guys.

Did mother BMW foot the bill on this one too? Havent seen new one yet, but rogue nation was a really long BMW S1000 commercial. (an effective one too, I still want one lol) Cruise may be a weirdo. But his taste in motorcycles is decent. :jack
