I was lucky enough to get a ticket from another rider that couldn't make it.
See you all this weekend!
@docgonzo I will keep my eyes peeled for you.
Just a heads up for everyone. I know some of you would like to put up a hammock but we are specifically limited in our use of the area at the fairgrounds. There will be no trees for anyone to use, including the few that are there so please make other plans. I.E. a tent or hammock stand. The camping area is basically a wide open area so plan accordingly please.
See you all this weekend !
Are roll charts being emailed or do we get them at the event?
Emailed, you should have got it last night. Thats when I got mine.
Thanks, found it in my junk mail.
From what I hear, if you are tenting it, you should plan on bringing your own water. I guess there are bathrooms, but I doubt showers.
Maybe someone from DVTR who gets there early can confirm.
Potable water on site?
Yes, we have to remove our own trash.
Looks like it is going to be a bit wet and slippery on Sunday!!!
The VP told me that there were bathrooms at the campgrounds. I assume there are sinks and water, no?
An unexpected surprise! GPS track attached to the last e-mail. I have my roll chart loaded, but it's nice to have a back-up GPS track.
I'll have a camp shower, just bring extra water.
How will we find you? Will you have a carnation in your lapel?
I have a spot available.
1-Dual Sport entry, Campsite, non-RV. 1-MD T-shirt. $70
Send PM and we'll exchange info
There's showers in the lower (east) bathrooms and they are strong and hot. Creepy, but worth the high-pressure rinse.
Upper bathrooms ( no showers ) are directly beside the camping area
Extra wash station beside buildings at camping area.
No potable water on site. There's spigots, but we have no way of knowing if the water has been sitting or not so we're calling it non potable.
There is a trash station on site and barrels to be placed around to put stuff in.
We are not managing parking much. The lot is huge and if you all think about how you park, we can easily fit everyone in.
Only one entrance this year towards the eastern side. Pull in, continue to pavillion, get checked in and go to RV/tent camping or parking spot.
Forecast continues to change. Only chance of showers Sunday morning and we need it ! Dirt roads are fairly dusty at this point and an early morning shower would be good.
We have a few trail snafus with routing we need to correct but overall things are good.
PLEASE, thank the volunteers when you see them out there. There's only so much the 6 club officers can manage and the 40+ volunteers sweating their asses off the past few weeks have truly been the saving grace to this event.
Good on ya Matt ! Thanks for all you’ve done this year to make this happen!
Also this will be very fuel intensive this year. The distance between gas stops is 65-70 miles. Those of you with 2 strokes should take a close look at your mileage range and plan accordingly. I HIGHLY advise you to bring approved fuel bottles if there's any doubt.
Another option is to park a vehicle at big flats and run to it if you need to.
Go West on 30 to fuel for 5mi the second time you cross for a total of around 55mi. That should leave about 65mi to finish.
There is also a Revzilla discount available for the next few days. Use it, share it.

DVTR put on an amazing event this year in the woods Michaux. My final total miles were 138 and I am totally exhausted!
Thanks, DVTR and thank you Revzilla for supporting top-notch events like this! I was impressed that everyone in the area where I camped last night was following social distancing and mask guidelines.
Sign me up for next year!
2017 Husqvarna FE350
Indeed, was outstanding. Just wish I could have ridden 3 mile too, but missed the turn?
Such a great Job by the DVTR crew. PERFECT
