My C650GT needs new tires.
Wondering if anyone uses the Pilot Road 4 Scooter tire?
Not made in a Vespa GTS size! 14" & 15" only. Interesting tread design IMO.
I just looked, no worky for me...
I’ve used PR4 in street bike tires, they’re excellent. Can’t imagine scooter versions any different
Aye, PR4 in 17" were definitely excellent tyres on my last bike. Scooter ones will be braw.
Yea, it's a quality tire.
Just new for scooters this year which is whyi was wondering if anyone had tried it yet in this application.
Yea, I think they're just for maxi scooter sizes so far.
From what I can see there's only one size front and one size rear which makes me think its a model specific fit, Tmax maybe?
When I had my 650GT I put a set of Michelin Road Pilot 4’s on at just under 13,000 miles as I had run through 2 sets of the OEM Metzelers. I sold the bike at about 18,000 miles but they had at least another 2000-3000 miles on them so they seemed to be lasting better than the OEM tires. I felt the ride and wet weather traction was better than the Metzelers. I know the Road Pilot line is we thought of on motorcycles.
I just got a set for my Tmax last week, I took it easy for awhile to scuff them in. After that I rode some twisty roads and they seem to handle good, no idea on mileage yet. A friend has a front on a scooter and really likes it.
Do they feel "squirmy" when hot? I've read a couple complaints about that...not entirely sure what to make of it.
I totally concur with Village's statement. Darn good tire.
