Walking around the city at night the streets are busy with food carts and a buzz of people enjoying the warm evenings. The beachfront is also the buzz of activity. The local guy where we stored our bikes told us to go check the bands practising for the carnivals. Now, this is fun, locals get together and although a practice session it also is a bit of a loosely arranged street party.

But damn, can they jam!!? The drums can be heard from miles away. It sounds like a Brazilian carnival thing.

The girls hit their moves out front and the boys follow smashing tunes that get the all the bystanders moving..

The music and girls dancing is so cool it will get a corpse moving. What is it about music that gets the blood flowing and that feel-good juice in the brain flowing? This old dude couldn't help himself and went balls to the wall out shaking bones. I can't remember or even know the type of music but it's the type of salsa bongo whatever vibey stuff.

All of your pics are great but I especially love the pics you take on the streets of people just being themselves! Please carry on!

Before we hit the road north to get into Brazil we made some stops at seaside hide-outs. On our way out of the city, this hidden hand in the sand is on the beach. I wait patiently for all the Insta social media crazies to do their shots.
Eventually, all move away so I can get a shot with only the fingers. Most people saw me waiting and were actually quite nice to move out of the way. I got the shot lined up, camera to the face, this woman and her celeb walked straight in front of me and just start snapping. Fuck me, this crazy narcissistic shit is ruining the world:2guns:lol3

The best thing about the coast of Uruguay is that it takes you back to a LA Santa Cruz hippy cool laid back surfing time. Imagine the Californian coast 20-25 years ago in the late 60-70 maybe 80's. There's still many miles of unspoilt beaches and places to get away from any one.
People surf, enjoy their time, no BS, no rules, just easy going having fun times.

This girl and her dog are on their way back home. No one gets offended and upset about shit. I really love such places.

This small park, you take a 4x4 truck with seats driving over the sand dunes to get to the place. Few wooden backpacker joints and groovy restaurants.
It is a fisherman village turned small-time tourist stay. Tourists as in only locals go
    there.

This dog lie down in front of the camera and I was hooking it up for 15sec shot, amazingly he must have known the time and kept still for all that time :photog

There's so many little roads to hit the coast, it is good to stay at one place and go for outrides daily and explore the places on the coast.

Always wondered about Uruguay because you hear so little about it in travel reports. Now I’m going to have to get there.

Yes, most run it in quick time because it is flat. But the place is incredible for a few reasons. We will probably go back at some stage in the near future.

In many of the smaller Fisherman villages, you can get some bloody good fish and chips. Go sit at the beach and enjoy some local stuff :D
