IIRC they were vinegar based recipie but not smoked...
I didn't see where they cooked it and didn't taste much, if any smoke. It was tender and moist, but the bark was tender as well. I'm not a bark snob. I think it's one of the better places around.
NC tag is within a few miles of here.
Grab. BBQ BARN in Butner, N.C.
Nice snag. How far of a ride was it for you?
Ok here’s the tag.
(Clue) Confederate General J. E. B. Stuart narrowly escaped this battle with Union General John Buford by crossing the Rapidan River after finding himself under fire from three sides.
About 260 to grab it. Did 530 for the day and grabbed another tag on the way home
Good tagging. Saw the VA tag too.
Any history buffs have another clue?
Vague clues, this is exactly why tags die. Tags should be about riding not googling info about one of probably a dozen places the confederates had their asses kicked along a river.
That's some good shit right there..
I agree. I've spent too much time Googling this "clue" and even asked a couple Civil War buffs with no luck. Too bad VanillaSocks won't add anything,,, the summer is ticking away.
Works better if you tag him... @VanillaSocks
Sorry everyone for the vague clues. You can find this tag at the intersection of S Blue Ridge Turnpike and Shelby Rd. in Virginia. I'm not sure why I haven't been getting updates from this thread. If there's any more questions just tag me. Sorry again.
Six month bump. Central VA.
For anyone in the neighborhood (6600 S Blue Ridge Turnpike Rochelle, VA 22738). Sorry about the poor rendering of your beautiful bike VanillaSocks!
Google Street View.
That didn't take long.
I was dawdling!. Not any more. Here's the drop. My favorite historic stone fence.
And on the other side of the road.
Along Martinsburg Rd. Near the intersection with Wasche Rd.
Happy New Year.
