    Congratulations Imu!

This is the bike correct? I don't think Tae has had multiple WRR's. This was from our first ride in '13.

    Gwad, I love you three bitches too! (@StG, @RedRockRider & @simbaboy).

Yup, that's the one when we first met him.
He travelled every where with the WRR then got drinking the Orange Koolaid.
I am excited about getting it. After I get Rekluse and other mods done and if it works out for me, I will sell the DRZ400S.
The DRZ400S has more grunt but the WRR is a more modern bike with FI.
I really don't care about power---I need low maintenance and reliability.
I am sure I will be able to climb all the hills in Moab that I need to.

Sad news from Moab - Kokopelli Lodge is under new ownership and they now require 50% deposit for reservations, same like Airbnb etc.
We're now taking recommendations for similar accommodations if anyone has experience - we like being able to park right outside our rooms.
Camping is not an option due to logistics.

I'm planning on coming out for this. Are you planning on going anywhere else before or after?

BTW, I'll be glad to go eat at EPL with you. I loved the place when I lived in San Diego in the late 80s. They opened an EPL in Georgia around 15 years ago and it wasn't that good. I guess Rednecks don't know how to do crazy chicken.:D It only lasted a year or two.

It would be great to have you join us.
Please send me an PM with an email address so I can include you in the group emails.

For this week it will be just Moab.

Planning another out West trip in May that may include other places.

    Thank you,

    Imu

A very nice Mid-Michigan day. Temps in the mid 60's and no clouds.
I got to try out my new riding jacket and its nice.
It started with a street ride but soon became a farm road ride as there is a mint farm that I visit every year around Fall time.
Love this Burgman scooter as I don't mind beating it up: it already has tons of scratches so who cares!

Got my bike back from the shop (basic maint, tube change) and went for a short mile ride.
Almost died at a small hill. But will get in much better shape before Moab 2020.

One of the beauties of bicycling to help your fitness for motorcycling is that you’re also building your balance. Try to do some standing while pedaling to build leg endurance (for standing on the pegs) and body control (stance, balance, etc.)

Keep it up my friend! Doing awesome!

I have done almost 60% of TOW (1st time) and about 50% the 2nd time.

I have looked at multiple videos of the remaining section and even if I am in better shape and have a 'better' bike during Moab 2020, I am not sure I want to ride it. It will be a game time decision. We sill see.

However, I do want to add a couple more easy rides. I also want to do the short hike to Tower Arch after the long 10 Mile Sand University. There is a second way to get there and avoid all the sand but it has an obstacle section.

I do have a PhD in motorized Sheep Herding.

Don't make me come down there and pull you up that hill! Get your butt in shape and practice your skills and you will OWN that trail.
