Anyone up for a lunch run on Saturday?

I have a full day pass and will wonder around and end up in Creston, outside Paso Robles for lunch. (Or maybe Pozo)

Anyone care to meet? It should be a beautiful weekend and the roads are great no matter what direction you come from.

    Lets Ride :ricky

So far the day is 'iffy' for me, but I wouldn't mind a tri-tip sandwich and brew out at Pozo. What time/route are you planning? I won't know for sure if I can make it 'til saturday am.. but could hook up somewhere enroute.

Carrizo picked up a BUNCHA rain this week.. 1.7 inches on Tuesday. Could be good.. could be grungy. I was out there the weekend before that on the 23rd and it was great !

A couple of years ago while taking a break At Santa Barbara Portero on the Sierra Madre, we had condor's #25 & 98 cruise over us at about 25 ft high :eek1

I could be tempted to go up Carrizo if it's not wet but have a friend that may come on an RS. I'll know Fri evening.......stay tuned

    Darn the bad luck!

You ever figure out what the over heating issue was with the KTM?

I made it home and only had to add a bit more fluid; so Tom, the mech at Moore and Sons, thinks it is no big deal and I should just tighten down all my hose connections and see if that cures it. I may also replace the thermostat and the radiator cap. That will happen in a week or so when I do that ever so simple oil change on the beast. :lol3

Yep. The Pozo Saloon starts doing lunch around noon. They aren't open in the morning or on weekdays.

Alright, I was waiting for a response from a local but it aint coming. So, how about between 9:30-10:00 at the defunct 76 station at Hwy 166 an Soda Lake Rd. I'll top up in Ventacopa or Taft if we're doing all pavement.

Walt, is it still too wet to go up Soad lake or Elkhorn?

Gerg, if we go Walts route, we could meet you somewhere so you don't have to backtrack

That 76 should work for me. I can ride the KTM IF you want to go thru the Monument. If not I think I'll ride the Cow and take 58 to Poso.

    Just let me know!

    Sorry guys...

I'll check back at 7:00 but it ain't lookin' good for me.
Been fightin' a cold all week. Went in to lay down and read and in just the last 2 hours it's augered in pretty good. Not sure a bike ride is in my best interest.

    DAMN IT!!!
