Day 7 - Ok Im back in steamboat where northern sections of cdr is the same as bdr are the same. Im not opposed where I definitely like the area. On the trip back in I found the trail sections near steamboat lake and spent some time here on day 7. no gear or luggage and spent a few hours looking around.

I definitely didn't stay at Koa and found a hotel on south end of town for great price. Did some light work on bike, did laundry, Walmart, and made it back to get great tacos in town. Im coming back to this area sometime hopefully.

Dropped into North side of Colorado River. Not really a lot out there in regards to services and cell coverage.

Stayed at a rafting campground literally in nowhere. Went from empty when I arrived to full at end of night with a band playing. It was definitely an interesting camp ground. Rafters are a great group and even through I didn't have a lot of food or supply I ate and drank well.

If I recall the last portion of day didn't go by any plan... Flat tire near the top of a pass. Cut off and back into town late in day. Turns out town right next to aspen and ended up sleeping in between a river the highway and a private drive. This was not ideal but necessary and all was ok and got warmed up the next day just fine and back on route.

Appears to be a lot of railroad history throughout. Does not appear I took the easy route with lots of rocks up over the pass.

Flat tire a few miles on way out of Pitkin... Second front flat in three days with no spares left so had to jump off track and into Gunnison for tubes. Camped outside of town and had to wait to Tuesday for bike shops to open. Running 20 psi at first front pinch flat and 23 psi on second front pinch flat with Kenda k270's. Not impressed at all.
