Well, I zipped over the MRN site and it looks like the UnRally is set for Eureka Springs in August.
My original thought was earlier, like late May or early June. Mebbe I'll put together a poll or somethin' ...
Sounds good to me. I'm partial to Missouri. August? Can you say 90 deg F and 99% humidity? Late May is fine with me. We could go to the winerys in Hermann, MO and do some taste testing. Hwy 94 rocks.
Here's a roll call of everyone who has posted on this thread; BMW Rider Oh., Razorbak Il., XtreemLee Wi., jdiaz Il., GSAnderson Mn., mogwai Wi., Rob Z Tx., Killen Mn., wxwax Ga., motojedi In., Ice In., Hardcore Tx., longwallman Pa., pathfinder In., ImaPoser Oh., Hacksaw Tx., sven Mi., GSTom Mo., for a total of 18.
Also, I had a question concerning the May 20-22 date. Why are we waiting until after the three day weekend to have the rally? I mean, for me, I would rather travel Saturday, rally Sun. and Mon., and then travel home Tuesday. Thus I would only have to burn one vacation day instead of three.(Tuesday) It seems like most of the posters here are within a days distance and the roads we'll be on shouldn't be used by the Memorial Day tourists.
Good point. All the cops will be on the interstates with their radar guns.
Count me in.
Another lamb to the slaughter ...
Looking forward to it!
What's with the competing thread? See you there. I'll be the guy on the silver GS with crashbars and driving lights.
We could throw a dart at southern MO and it would probably be a good place to go, but we need to pick something. August will be too hot and I don't care if we meet up with the MRN guys. I want to head north in the spring as soon as the weather warms up, so May works for me. Is GS Tom our only local guy?
Thinking out loud here...
If you have it the week before or the week after the Utah get together I'm might make a 3 week trip outta it and come join ya... just as long as there aren't TOO many East coasters there
I rephrased my post for the dirty minded.
Cut 'n' pasted from an Excel spreadsheet I started.
Sloppy ... but effective.
Here are the tentative attendees for the First Annual ADVriders Midwest Meeting- even though we haven't figured out where we're meeting yet or when it will be.

You know, another interesting spot is Killen's backyard. Lotta good riding around LaCrosse and the bluffs along the river, and of course, the giant six-pack in downtown LaCrosse.

Hmmmmmm, ya know, Jon, that's not a bad idea. I've ridden up in that area and like it.
Any others like the idea of Wisconsin?
