Trailering out there? Congrats on the retirement.
Dam MizzouRider That's over 900 miles. That's worse than Camel Bill! Why would you want to do that? You and Bill both need retirement lessons.
But congratulations on retirement.....and being able to iron but it yet.
Yeah, still got work myself, so days limited, only reason I still do iron butts, looking forward to lots of free time to do max of 400 miles a day. West coast is calling.
Nope. Not with the GSA. I like doing loops. So I’ll probably come back to St Louis on a southern route. Maybe highway 50 across KS.
Just want to get the plains over with. Once I get the iron butt out of the way, I hope to slow down. I just have never been very good at it. Especially when riding alone.
Congratulations on your retirement. Have fun. By the way, how do you like your new bike?
The CTX? It’s sitting in my barn up at the farm. . Still trying to sell the Ural. Need to add a few things to it (CTX) (No center stand, or rear rack) for starters. The few rides I’ve taken on it have been very comfortable. Although I see some seat work coming this winter. Highway pegs.. Protection for the rear panniers. I got a good deal on it, so spending a few bucks is ok with the boss.
Thanks for the congrats. I’m tired of working. Looking forward to six Saturday’s and a Sunday.
Missed you out at Gunnison last week. Day 3 had the best track and some new scenery. You at least could of shown up on the flower sniffer rides with the other old farts, lol
If you know of anybody looking for a 450L send them my way...Thanks
Would really have liked to have been there. We had all six grandkids here for the week though. (There were a few moments I was really wishing I was in Colo.)
i alway wish,,,,i was in Colo.................
Hey the master....
Can you please explain the clown/woman icon? After some beers, she becomes oddly intriguing.....
Just a Juggalo image from the internet. Glad you found it intriguing.
Just curious if the riders my nephew and I met going through Piedmont Missouri just before noon today are on this site? He and I had a great day exploring. Almost thought to turn around and tag along!
Not me, but will will camping this week down at sam baker and looking for some good riding. Riding the versys with 80/20 tires so gravel and pavement fine. Know a bit of the area, but looking for more good scenic riding. Heading down from stl tomorrow.
Which days will you be at SamA? I may be able to get out for another ride this week sometime.
later today through friday. planning on taking a mixture of 21,143,49, u, o, e, and other lettered roads down. Lots of good riding that way.
MO. "alphabet soup" you can't go wrong. ^
Pretty sure you probably won’t have a cell signal out there but I will ride out maybe Tuesday evening see if I can locate you and try and show you some new scenery. Just got back from kayaking lower Black River tonight. I live just outside Piedmont off 49 so just a quick trip to SamA.
Made it out to my first trackday MCRA runs at Gateway, hell of a time nothing but nice riders including a guy who rode a GS to the track, taped his lights and absolutely ripped. Totally recommend it to anyone super nice people and coaches and you can bring whatever and run it in the novice group as long as you swap out your anti-freeze and tape the lights. I had no idea what I was doing going in and I feel like I learned more in one day than I did in years of street riding.
