Went with the Gateway BMW GS camp out and ride this weekend. Great 71 degree day in the Ozarks. Lunch after the ride in Bixby.

Private property. Midwest Trail Riders Association's land mostly for me. (They're close till spring now though.)
There is was some around Hazel Creek but I haven't been there in a while so can say if it can be found any more. Forest Service so it may not be legal. ?????
I guess there is some at St. Joe and Chadwick.
Getting pretty hard to find, what ain't been closed has been taken over and widened by the quadards.

Judging from the photo I’m sure I’ve been on some/most of that road just never all at the same time. I’m curious if some of the swinging bridges ride run through that road a bit.

Karkaghne is about 30 miles long but the 7 miles on the southeast end is paved. It used to be paved about twice that far when it was a FS road, but for some reason when the FS turned the road over to the county in the late 80's they tore out the pavement on most of it, leaving some short sections paved. Then recently they repaved the 7 mile southeast section again. Still a couple sections after that with the original pavement in place.
And yes the SBR is on some of the gravel part. The Show Me 200/500 uses some of it too. In places it is also "The Trail of Tears".

It’s been a long time since I attended one of these. I think the only building there was the little storage shed on the left, in front of the house. The house is new. Looks nice! I did have a good time, and learned a thing or two also. I think there was a treehouse in front of the storage building. They had some big camp fires burning the pallets that the new bikes were shipped on.

Yep, last time I went riding with Honz was only one building there, pallet bonfire as well. Looks like they have added quite a bit on. Need to go out riding with them again.

Had to put some miles on the DR today. After talking to Sieg yesterday and hearing all the “My DR is great” stuff....I had to figure out why mine runs like junk and gets 34 MPG?!?!?
Plus the cylinder keeps filling with gas even with a new Raptor style petcock...Turns out the needle and seat are fine but the small O-Rings get hard and shrink so the fuel bypasses the float assembly. Then the bike runs super flooded and rich. I rode to LSK in Lebanon for two new ORings at $10. I hope it is the fix and I blame Sieg for making me freeze during the test ride.
