I was trying to visualize how a horizontal wheel could operate this equipment. Must of been some tough men to set this plant in place!!

I would surmise that the water wasn’t deep enough for a vertical wheel.

Just got back from riding in the Buena Vista Co. Area. (Saw the mill) Not much local riding other than work and back. Would love to share some trails (and trail beverages) with you again sometime!
Give me a shout when you will be out and about!!

We were riding in the same areas. Rode my 390 out to Colorado in June, spent 1 night in Chuchara, 3 nights in Buena Vista and 2 nights in Grand Lake. Was trying to get 50 passes, but only got 45. We should have not gone to Grand Lake with all the closures west of there from last year's fire. But getting to go thru the Rocky Mountain National Park at 5am on the way home was a home run.

Rode that little bike 2500 miles, where there is no sense - there's no feeling. :lol3

Tuck in your string and ride.

As an ADV Rider PSA...the Falling Leaf Rally is this weekend at Bass River Resort in Steeleville. I saw BigDog and Oh2RideMore last year and as usual everyone had a great time camping and riding. The weather will be excellent and there are usually about 200-300 people.

This is a long shot but if anyone works for Ameren Electric and Gas utility would you mind PM’ing me? I’m considering a job with them in St. Louis. Also, how’s the riding around the St. Louis area?

Well that would depend on the kind of riding you like but I'd say for most types its pretty good; especially south of I-70.

I saw a decent number of bikes headed towards Steelville this afternoon and evening. Might be down there but temps are better for floating.
