Is it just me or are these statistics thought up by stoned people?

First batter to get a 7th inning hit after eating chili for lunch.

Gotta have something to fill the 3 minutes between pitches.
Need a 15 second clock on the pitcher!

First time in World Series history that all wins were by road teams.

It's also cool that back in May the Nationals were the 4th worst team in all of baseball !
And, they won the World Series beginning the postseason playoffs as a lowly wild card team.
    Congratulations to the Washington Nationals.

Seems like no one gave gave the Nats a chance. They powered through the beginning to have run at the end. It is a beautiful story.

Number8teen and I had to leave our house on the 3 hour drive to my sister's place RIGHT as the game was starting.
She found the ESPN radio app and we listened to it in stop and go traffic leaving the bay.

I'd forgotten how engrossing listening to a game can be. The visualization, and keeping track of the count and where the runners are instead of just looking at the screen.

Pretty annoying how hard the ESPN announcers were obviously pulling for the Astros. Super biased.

    Didn't matter!
Very, very fun game to listen to. I never had any doubts. The Nats were Number8teen 's second team this year ...and they were really fun to follow after getting rid of Harper.

I heard it's a first in any 7-game championship of professional sports.

I’d like to think it was the starting pitching for the Nats. Strasburg and Sherzer managed the base runners to batters scenarios well.

My friend lives in Vegas and he saw Ovi just roaming casinos with the Stanley Cup two years ago.

Essentially how the St. Louis Blues came back last year in NHL, worst record in their conference three months into the season. Of course a diehard fan bet around $1,000 at that low point at around 100-1, and never hedged the entire playoffs!

Congratulations Nats!!! Scherzer had to grind on the mound to get it done. Nice to see a team come together and play well when it counts ( and Harper-less)
