Not a fan of the Dodgers but they consistently average more than 45,000 fans per game, 49K + this year! I wouldn't call them fair weather fans.
Did you watch the game last night? You could see them taking off their Dodger's hats and putting on their Rams hats.
The Rays overachieved on every front. They had a spectacular season, but just didn't have the talent in key places to continue.
Already bet 2,000 pennies, Yanks are listed as dogs in this fight. @Benduro likes underdogs, I wonder if he will be rooting for Yanks here, enemy of my enemy thing.
Same here, I thought they would fade away and Boston would claim the number two spot in AL East after the break.
I don't know much for certain and I try to avoid absolutes, but, I know I will never... in my whole goddamn life...root for the Yankees against anybody. AL West 4 lyfe.
Defending the Dodgers is against my better judgement but this is not true. Granted they arrive late and leave early but their lowest average attendance since 1990 is 30,534 which happened in 1992. Since 2001 they have AVERAGED 44K and change. No one else is close. Only two other teams averaged over 40K this year, the Yankees (40.8K) and the Cardinals (43K). https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/LAD/attend.shtml
It is true, and the their attendance has seen a steady uptick with success. They were at 36k in their 2011, 82 win season. And I'm pretty sure that's announced / num of tickets sold, not how many people who bothered to show up. reference.com/teams/LAD/attend.shtml
Anabal Sanchez shutting the Cardinals down through 7.2 innings, only a walk and one hit, just over 100 pitches, unreal. It's exactly what the Nationals needed with a shaky bullpen and their starters not going to appear in relief except maybe Corbin.
I know it was cold last night at Cardinal's Stadium, but all the balls appear to be deadened. Anybody else noticing that this post season?
As a Cards fan, I agree .............. Sanchez was magnificent !! I was secretly hoping for a no hitter for him ............. so was my wife, but she is a cubs fan
