Astros out of a jam . That might have been the inning that wins it for them .
End of the 6th and still a long way to go. Astros 4, Yanks 2.
Yanks have stranded a lot of runners so far.
Wow!!! Astros double play to shut down the Yanks!!!
Stranding runners is a recipe for disaster . The Astros only have about 4 hits and a couple of walks .
OH MY , what a great double play , Brantley just saved at least one run .
'nuther great double play! Yanks shut down again!!
....and there's no joy in Gotham tonight!!!
Can't believe they even pitched to Altuve with Marisnick next...
Hell of a game!
See you guys tuesday!.....Go Nats!
I gotta go find a Montreal Expos hat.
The betting lines for World Series games always gets me scratching my head. It's usually the two best, or near best teams, yet in the betting world there's almost always a heavy favorite. Case in point was last year, Boston was considered the under-dog and paid out plus money, but me and many others knew they would steam roll the Dodgers. This year we got Max Scherzer and a team of batters that have been crushing it for months, and betting on the Nationals is nearly a 2/1 endeavor.
I think Cole will come out on top, but I'll take Scherzer at 2/1 any day.
Let's go NATS!
Having followed baseball seriously since 1966 , this WS looks to be a classic . Both teams are solid , buckle up guys , this should be good .
Oh , wonder how that young Nat's hitter's antics will work with Cole , that should be interesting
A giant billboard welcoming Rendon to his home town is a classy touch (he's a Rice grad).
Kurt Suzuki is a bulldog behind the plate .
Altuve/Scherzer face off is as good as it gets.
Yeah, would be at least 3-2 without him, good to see he is still this great just two weeks after a pitch to the face.
Oh hell yes. 3-2 Nats. top of the 5th
That ball left in a hurry .
