I'm pretty sure the Cards will take Atlanta but I'm not sure they can take LA (assuming LA gets past the Nats).

I thought the homefield advantage would be higher in the NFL.

I'm surprised by MLB, but after thinking about it, it makes sense. The biggest variable in an MLB game is the pitcher. While some are very much affected by location, the top pitchers that get the nods in playoffs are less affected by such things. One only needs to look at regular season splits to see the vast majority of teams are better at home (except the Mets of course).

    Regular season, I think you'd be right. I've heard it's about 70% (+/-).

Eh. Stroman would've maybe been their 4th postseason starter because German got suspended for DV a couple weeks ago. Before that, he wouldn't have started.

Cards and Braves are tied 1-1.

I think I want the Braves to advance in that matchup.

    Acuña is amazing to watch.

Looking forward to the Nats knocking out Dodgers, Scherzer needs to step it up.

I feel bad for Twins fans right now, 8-0 in the 3rd after a long season is a hell of a way to kill hopes for winning.

I agree. That's a sad one for sure. They've had a HELL of a run this season.

Long time Twins fan here. They have never been able to compete with the Yankees. I almost wish they wouldn't make the playoffs, it is easier that way. I'll consider it a victory if they can just take one win from them.

I turned that game on last night in the middle innings and was wondering if Kirk Cousins also played for the Twins. :photog

Yep , in the playoffs pitching becomes paramount , the Astros have the best pitching . The Yankees pitching is so-so , the Dodgers have good pitching , better as a group than anyone in the NL .

    That's a fixt!!

Would rather see the Cards advance to the winner of the Dodgers - Nats matchup.

    Soto just blasted a bomb.

Good too because the bases loaded situation the Nats were dealing with in the top of the first looked pretty grim.
