Arizona Trail Riders was proud to host 200 riders from all over North America at the Mogollon Rim Rendezvous AMA National Dual Sport and Adventure Ride in Payson, Arizona!

I know that there were a lot of cameras snapping photos this weekend and I can't wait to see them all.

A, B, & C level rides were offered on both Saturday and Sunday. Hilslamer and I rode B sweep for both days on our KTM 950 Adventures. Tom T joined us on his KTM 450 Sunday.

We ran into our first rider, Dale-KTM 690. He was having a tough time getting down this deep sandy wash.

A sweep team and B sweep team converge. That's never really a good thing.

This poor bastard busted the chain on his BMW 800 GS. That would have never happened on a 1200.

One of his buddies ran off with the chain and found someone to grind off the broken link. With a little adjustment to the rear axle, he was back up and running.

On the way from Jake's Corner to Young, we ran into kbblue at the Indian Cave Ruins.

On Kurt's recommendation, we took a little tour.

Then we got to "The Hill". JD was a little nervous about getting his BMW 1200 GS Adventure up the hill.

I told him that he'd be fine, and that I'd be right behind him.

He made it up with a little help, but the top is the top!

Tony and his crew was already at the top when I arrived.

    Great views!

We got to the lunch stop in Young pretty late, but they were still happy to serve us!

    Randy G. helping a 950 rider with a flat.

This fellow left his headlight on during the repair, which didn't leave enough battery to start the bike. "Z-German" gives him a push down the road to bump start the big twin.

Z-German ran his BMW 1200 GS Adventure through the A-Loop on Saturday. WOW!

The last section of B trail for the day.

    Nightstalker does a faceplant. Ouch.

Minutes after sundown, I got a flat to finish off the day. At least I had a lot of help holding flashlights when the A loop sweepers caught us.

I recognize your 950. If you were on that on the "B" Sunday, you're a helluva rider. Passing me on a 450EXC. Sweet...:thumb And having the time to take good pics too.

Yet another Great ATR weekend. Perfect weather, great company, awesome food, no injuries (at least that Im aware of).
I couldnt possibly ask for a better weekend of riding !!!

Our group had several minor mishaps but thats what makes this sport so fun, the unexpected:huh . We really had an awesome group of riders which made those little things very easy and pleasantly overcome !! Thanks to all in our ride group !!

Huge thanks to Don and EVERYONE from ATR .

    One word....EPIC !!!!

When we are old and gray (wait, some already are), we will be sitting on the front porch of the old folks home talking about "The Rock Garden". I never heard so many people say all at once "is this the B loop? It can't be the B loop". As someone said earlier "epic". Sunday's loop was the freaking bomb.

Thanks to all who put in a ton of work to make it happen. God willing, I will be back with more friends next year.

    I had a great weekend!

It was beautiful weather through a beautiful area with a great bunch of friends!

Being the hard headed person that I am, I decided to take the F800GS instead of the 450 for the B loop. I made the decision partly because I really enjoy strapping all my camping gear on the 800!

I enjoyed the challenge of the B loop and had a great ride on Saturday and improved my big bike riding skills. While I dropped my bike about 5 times I was able to get it back up by myself. The only place I needed help was "the hill". I got about 3/4 of the way up and fizzled out. Thanks to those who helped me get the beast to the top.

Sunday on the B loop did me in on the big bike. When I got to the big boulders I contemplated turning around but muddled my way through with quite a bit of help from some riders behind me. The first stream crossing was really cool! I kept chugging along but my heart sank when we got to the loose rocky climb. I was whooped. It took everything I had to limp through to the last water crossing and out to the graded road. That's where we opted to end our day. I'm glad I did Sunday's ride, but don't like to need that much help. I was in survival mode. Thanks to everyone who gave me a hand getting through!

Thanks to ATR! You guys did a nice job with this event. The trails were good. The food was good and it was well organized! What more can you ask for?

I have a few pics but haven't downloaded them yet ...

Well put. I have attended several d/s rallys this year and I was suprised by all of the organization at this one, the variety of skill levels, the accuracy of the rollchart...etc...and the food was indeed great and in plentiful volume.

nightstalker and I were riding the B loop as sweeps, and it made for some interesting antics. I've never run sweep at an event like this, only a race - and its a very different experience. Some guys are blissfully enjoying hte scenery, and some are so angry that they explode when youa sk if something's wrong. LOL, when you're a sweep rider and not in a hurry, it's all humour though!

I have pics, only afew, but will uploadlater too. Great to meet everyone and I will ook more into this stuff; it's a blast.
