5 WEEKS to go reminder bump
Dinner and a show announcement!
Travis from SkyMed (an emergency evacuation/travel services) is buying dinner (probably Iron Works BBQ or Senor Lopez Mexican) and giving a short presentation of their services Friday night, 7 May, at 1830, at the Farmhouse Inn. Bring yourself and BYOB. For Travis's planning, please respond to who would like a free meal and a show!
Travis and Taylor with SkyMed are all top notch and most excellent.
They were with us at Scullshoals Dualsport back in February and I can whole heartedly recommend all to attend.
you won't be disappointed.
Looks like a lot of Monkeys...will I be ostracized for showing the monkeys up on my Spade?
Looks like I have the time off work approved, I’ll be trying my best to make it!
Just a couple weeks to go and I'd say there are quite a few "like/maybes" that haven't responded at all if they are actually attending or not. I ask that everybody that is coming does respond, to help with planning, especially if you are wanting to go on the guided rides with me. For anybody that has a GPS or phone app and knows how to use tracks, I have a file full of them for mini bikes if you want to go that "route."
Also, not a single person on the thread, or from the emails that I have sent says they plan on attending the free dinner and presentation from SkyMed.
Doubt it, come on down.
I'll be staying at Hunt's Lodge Campground in my teardrop Friday night (only) and would like to attend the presentation. I plan to ride Saturday only. Maybe Friday if I get there early enough...
I’ll be there for the presentation and rides. Tnt135
I'm having issues with the only bike I own that qualifies for this event and it doesn't appear it will be fixed in time for this so I'm out. I still plan on coming to Tellico during that time so I'll stop by and say hi but I'll be on my KLX250 and just doing some dual sport riding.
supposed to have (having some now) rain the next few days, clearing for Thursday and beyond. Forest roads ought to be in awesome no-dust shape...
Partly cloudy, high temps in the 70s, overnight lows in the 40s, from Thursday-on.
Can't wait! She's not afraid to get muddy, just hope she can keep up.
that's a beauty! Can't wait to see ya.
Self-quote to mention that I just changed my reservation at Hunt's Lodge to include Thursday night as well. so I'll be arriving earlier than previously planned!
If they have trees to hang a hammock in the back I’ll see you there.
And so it begins.
^ ^ ^ Where y'at?
And a video of all the fun.
Thanks to Travis with SkyMed for providing dinner (and services info) for 8 of us. Three other guys that were also going to come on small bikes ended up coming on their dual sports, but came to the dinner show anyway. We did have a couple of guys on new Trail 125s stop by. They were on a shake down cruise for later cross country travel. Hope if goes well for them (look back on my Tellico Adventure Trail thread for a Swiss guy named Ernst, who rode a 125cc step-through around much of the world).
