Last chance to pose before taking the bikes back
Well worth wearing some waterproof boots
Day 6 in Marrakech. The old city looks great with the snow-capped mountains in the distance. It has hardly changed since I first visited in 1986. But according to this billboard there are plans to knock down some of the ancient souks and replace them with new shopping malls.
No donkeys in the artist's impression!
So get to Morocco soon...
I must say I have enjoyed your ride reports....past and present!
thanks, great report. Makes me think about going there
I read the whole thing. Kept my attention. When you were in the hotel as the only guests, was it a little unnerving? I would think it would feel at least a little worried

Thanks for your comment. I'm already planning to go back next year. You can enjoy visiting Morocco on any type of motorbike (or any other way)!

Thanks - yes it was a bit weird staying in the huge old Kasbah but it did have electricity and running water. I slept really well. It was called 'Kasbah Caid Ali' (in Agdz). I hope they can get money to renovate because it's a beautiful place. You can camp there as well.
Other road users are the main hazard. 99% of the bikes in Morocco are 50cc to 90cc and keep to the edge of the road. So when you are cruising along in traffic, cars will pull alongside you and try to usher you back into your place. It's not malicious but it is annoying!
Outstanding pics....thanks for taking the time!
