    Hi
I am planning to ride from my home country to Morocco at the end of August, begging of September. My plan was to ride from Fes to Merzouga and then to Marrakesh on a Honda Transalp XL700.
The thing is that I am having second-thoughts now due to the hot weather. I've questioned the owner of a riad in Merzouga and he assured me that he has guests full year round, including August. He never told me if some of the guests are riding bikes or all travel by car with the AC switched to maximum.
So is Merzouga doable on a bike with passenger at the end of august or is it unheard of?
    My planned route is below

I'm sweating profusely just thinking about August and September in Morroco.

I almost gave up the idea of reaching Merzouga. I plan now to stay mainly on the coast with the final target Plage Blanche.

We (NX 650, DR650, XT600) will be in morocco from 01.08 to 13.08. If it is too hot, we will retreat in the Atlas Mountains...also bought Hydration packs to be able to drink while riding.
I can let you know about the heat if you want to!

I've actually returned from my trip. I had a great time and the temperatures were not impossible. We stayed mainly on the coast - Rabat, Casablanca, Essaouira, Agadir and then spent 3 days in Marrakesh. By far the hottest time we had was in Marrakesh. I had no trouble with the custom.
