That is a bit close for comfort... I think the spark plug sleeves are a great idea! Great recommendation @HydroDog
Definitely review our sizing chart to determine what would fit best: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0396/9401/files/Mosko_Size_Chart_Final.pdf?2457
We are currently developing a phone pouch, but it will not be out in time for your trip (nor is it waterproof).
If it were me, I would use some adhesive velcro strips on the back of the phone and inside of the map pocket so that the phone would stay put.
Apparel will be in the EU store by summer.
Tie down clips mounted to the outside of the frame apparently work great. Here is a video showing what happens to the Reckless strap when mounted too close to the exhaust and how he fixed it. About a 1:45 into the video.
I have a useful idea once in awhile.
Mayeb a thin piece of foam cut to fit the pouch then cut out a
hole to the shape of your phone?
Nice but why $10 to ship something that will fit in a padded envelope.
$10 is our "floor" shipping cost. The cost to ship the envelope is definitely less than $10, but it still must be picked and transported/sorted within our fulfillment center before it is even put into the envelope - This is the handling component of "Shipping & Handling" and we have to pay people to do this work.
That's the problem with this country!
I understand, it just pushes it out of what I consider worth buying the one small item. Ymmv
@Blake D any chance you could send a couple of those clips up to the Vancouver Show with Andrew?
And this is why I bought 2 more of the 20L dry bags that come with the R80 on Black Friday....free shipping :) Thanks guys!
You could always go there and pick up the bits yourself to save on shipping.
These Canyon Dancer Tie Downs are $9 with free shipping on amazon. They are designed to strap a bike down but no reason they wouldn't make a good soft luggage mount. They probably do stick out a bit more though.
or buy a bunch of gear so the $10 shipping isn't a big chunk of the bottom line. The Giant Loop ones are $20 so Mosko's cleat kit with shipping is in the same ballpark.
Yes a 3000 mile cross country trip to save $10..I've probably done more ridiculous things.
Thats certainly an option... I feel my fabrication skills needing a little exercise . Time to sift through the boxes of junk and see what I can come up with...Honestly though I think in my case the best solution is to just use the spark-plug sleeves as previously suggested and be done with it. $7
