As the story unfolded, I was seeing the hand of K2 in this adventure, though he remained unnamed for awhile.
Sorry the GO!!!!!! bike did not make it.
Excellent trip report....Makes the Barrage Gouin trip look relatively tame.:rofl

Isn't that why it's called adventure riding? .... Just kidding, you're right.

    Cool report.
I bumped into you guys at Manic 5 on your way to Schefferville. Black DR 650, followed by a black DRZ400, Buell Ulysses and a yellow GS.

C'est bon! F--- the grammar. It read like the musical speech of a Quebecois!:rilla

Really liked the write-up AND the photos. Luke and I talked about that ride 2 years ago when we did the TransLab. But my old butt may not be quite suited to the rigors of bouncing from RR tie to RR tie for 70+ km. I'd love to get back up there and see more of your country.

No big deal or issue possible, we took the time to know the train schedule and advised the maintenance crew of our presence on the track. We have railroad cop over here. But as that railroad section is manage by first nation community there is no cop on that part of the track. We even face a pick up truck in the middle of nowhere but he knew we were there.

I loved reading this. I don't remember hearing about anyone riding there. The people in town must've been pretty danged surprised.

Great job! That is going to be one of those trips that you will never forget and you will find yourself using as the trip that you compare all others too.
It will be hard to top that for a great adventure.
Have you thought about the track kit yet? Sure would cut down on flats!
Let me know when you are thinking about another mission. I might just have to pic up another bike with a little longer range and the fjr would be like a fish out of water there. Regards, Survivor

Wanna go? I'd love to try this to Schefferville. Maybe 5 riders? Do-able.
    This summer?

Hey Tedmarshall, haven't went there since then???

Deadly99, i heard of a guys that tried it on it's own about 2-3 years ago. But i don't remember if he got stuck in a snow bank or if he had to be towed back by a Jeep. Maybe he have been eaten alive by the mosquitos. Don't hink he made it.

Thank you guys for that recall, 6 years, wow! I just realize the importance of writing a ride report.
