Yeah, the probably plays a big role. I guess I never think much about marketing since I'm a bit of an "enthusiast" already....so I tend to look up bikes on my own without a mfg flashing advertisements in front of me.
Either way, whatever the reason, too bad the Griso is no longer around. Awesome looking bike and is still on my list of bikes to experience someday.
Unless you are already looking for a Moto Guzzi, you don't really know what they have in their lineup. Marketing is and always has been fairly non-existent since the early 80's (I had a magazine ad of the LeMans that I had hanging in my room when I was younger).
I fell out love with the Griso the first time I laid eyes on one. It was a Tenni at the Oceanside MG dealer back when the Tenni first came out. I settled for this one tho 10-12 years later... an 1100 2 valve and just love it. So much character.
I am picking one up tomorrow, what rear rack is that??
A popular question !
That rack is no longer available, but you might be able to find a used one, or maybe a dealer with one collecting dust on a shelf in a back room.
Seems that parts are very few nowadays.
What is the best forum for griso?
Despite some rumors , at this moment Guzzi is out of the big block business .
Quite a few Griso owners on Wild Guzzi also , although the Oracle of Guzzi is mostly on the Ghetto .
They haven't built a 1400 in at least two years , the bikes for sale are leftovers . Sorry mate .
