Goldpoint , Nevada was of particular interest and joy after a hardy ride through the twisty mountain roads and desert trails. The towns curator / defacto mayor / saloon owner...hell I think he owns the hole damn place.... Packing heat and a well of stories.. forgot his name but if you pull up to the saloon in town he'll drive on over and open up for your group. Not a huge menu but the spicy wings and a beer sure hit the spot.

Like the wild west, trusty steeds awaiting.

Goldfield , Nevada up the road is a genuine mining town of interest with a few quirks. Dozens of vehicles similarly compromised make up this errr... art exhibit.

You never know what you'll see or who you'll meet. This gentleman was weighing in quite a catch in Virginia Lake way up in the Sierras off CA 395.

Riding in a group has its own challenges and charms. But there's nothing like hitting the open road solo. Mono Lake in the distance.

Got out for a little ride today @ just over 100 miles (180 km) & damm was it windy with gusts over 75 kmh. Different route than I normally take & found some nice twisty roads that I will have to visit again

The Route Where it turns right heading to Nanton, next time I will turn left & hit that twisty section

Isotta model, ordered from Af1 & one of the best priced options available. It can be a Pain In The Ass to clean the lens however with all the metal, but it beats having to replace a $500+ dollar headlight if you catch a stone :deal

thanks. That pic is about 3,000' up Wharite Peak, Lower North island, looking east. It is great riding country, lots of back country twisty roads both tarmac and gravel.

No I don't like tall screens. Taken them off all my bikes. Small screens are my personal preference

Lunch at Esk and then up the range to Hampton, and down the range to Helidon via the dirt and home. Got my first 1000Klm up on the way. 20201029-DSC02553.jpg 20201029-DSC02563.jpg 20201029-DSC02569.jpg 20201029-DSC02581.jpg

Out for a morning ride, took the X-E3 with super wide 10-24 . Love this Guzzi, miles of smiles. A captive super model that is as stunning to ride as to look at.

I cleaned the bike last week..
To not make it dirty again very soon.. I failed.

    IMG_20201109_151946.jpg

Ah well it's just a bit of dry sand and dust, makes it look even better.
