I am in KY at the moment. Have been going here 4 times per year since 2000. I'm in western Kentucky near the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) area. Beautiful country and good people. Flying home out of Nashville today.

It's a little muggy. Lived near Atlanta for 9 years and work in South East Asia frequently so I'm used to the humidity BUT I prefer the dry North West summers.

Me too! I'm from Alabama originally. Loots of humidity there.

I have a brother not too far from Nashville that I visit yearly...the humidity about kills me!

Oh, come now. It ain't that horrible and it's not all the time. Only the two hottest summer months. The rest of the time it's perfect riding weather - in my book. This from someone who used to ride a 50 cc two stroke in Bucharest winters -25C. No I can't take cold anymore. I'd rather have nice and warm (but not too hot) :lol3 And no bugs please!

Things are getting a bit scary here at the casino. 1/3 of my staff have been evacuated from their homes. The casino is on a pre evacuation notice as well. Last we heard the fires were 40 minutes from us, zero containment and over 150,000 acres gone since Friday afternoon.
    Looking out my office yesterday...

It's very windy in the north west. Many new fires popping up and spreading like "wild fire". Hopefully we'll be able to ride at least some of the "original" WABDR route instead of bypasses.

Fingers crossed we get the ride in. I looked at an interactive map this morning for Washington, they have issues as well....

Washington has had issues for quite a while. But if you're talking about smoke, then it's pretty bad.

I've always wanted to ride on the surface of the moon. Other than 6X the gravity I might get my wish.

Just went for a little test ride to adjust my suspension for the loaded weight. It's very windy, with insane wind gusts. It felt like I was riding a big sail.
The smoke from the central Oregon fires are almost taking over the Portland area. This was taken from my back yard. And in town just now.

The fire situation in WA and OR is changing by the minute. The Mt Hood wilderness and national forest has just been closed for all recreational activities. Wouldn't be surprised if Washington issues similar measures in the coming days.

This picture was taken about a mile from my home. The winds have died down and I believe it is under control. We don't usually get the big fires up here in the Idaho panhandle. I usually ride all over that mountain...

Things are getting sketchier by the day here. The Creek fire grew another 20,000 acres yesterday. Still 0 containment.
