There are lots longer lines at the 93 merchandise stand than there are at the 46 stand a hundred feet away.

Fenati roasted P1, can he make it through the race?

More people looking for their 1st 93 gear than others looking for their 30th piece of 46 gear

I noticed a few years back during my first COTA MGP trip there were a lot of Spanish speakers rooting for Marquez.

Didn't Miguel DuHamel break his leg at Loudon when he slid into an unprotected wall during a wet session?

Back on topic: Even with the bumps and the stop/start layout its pretty spectacular watching MotoGP bikes circulate around COTA.

I'm surprised at the number of people who went back to buy more MM93 merchandise. :D

Just kidding tinhead. Thanks for the pics from the track. Keep 'em coming.

Anyone that is at the track know what time the dedication/retirement of Nicky's number is happening???

I heard mid day online then at the track they keep saying "later on today". FFS, name a damn time!

As I recall, that year Loudon ended Thomas Wilson's career too.

Very little can top the legend that was Rockingham, with the woodstrip chicane. Oivey! Memphis is another one with some hair raising stories about AMA Pro's running there.

Fontuckey scared the hell out of me.
Turning into the infield off the NASCAR apron you were looking at the end of a concrete wall on the outside, with your knee at the edge of the concrete apron and grass. The big painted area along that apron was slicker than the pavement you were turning off of.
Inside the grass was the wall the racer hit and flipped over into the oncoming traffic.

Cool NH 69 tribute at Ducati Island.

Had his 2013 Ducati on stage.

Fired it up and let the family rev her up. Roger took it easy. Earl bounced it off the rev limiter several times. Really cool!

Track announcers (Johnathan Green/?) and Kevin Schwantz saying over the intercom that the riders "need to stop complaining about track conditions and just ride around the bumps"! Go figure, the guy who has a huge investment in COTA and the announcers paid my COTA are playing down how shitty the track is. Bumps are pretty obvious. Just watched AM73 bounce across a nasty one in turn 2 and crash. I call B.S.

On a good note, it is super cool to see Pasini back on a bike and currently running 5th in FP2! Pretty good for not being involved in winter testing or the first two races.

Very few complete sentences or coherent thoughts come through in that choppy mashup of a video , puts me in mind of a trump speech.

Somewhere I have a video of Bob Barre (sp? the track owner at the time) screaming at the AMA officials to make the racers get out there and race after he got the jet driers out there for an hour drying off the track... I'll have to dig that up.

Yes. He also put a honda up and over the fence in the bowl. Being a corner marshal for the national was fun. Got to help put out Bostrom's Ducati fire in T3 when he slid it into the tire barrier there.

It was and still is a shitty track.
