11:08 and not a sound from the track. The rain restarted precisely at 11:00.
FP3 cancelled for all classes. QP questionable.
View of Pit Lane with rubber duck and steady rain.
Anyone who has travelled the SW US by motorcycle knows what this rain and lightning is about.
The cloud headed our way over the main grandstand is the darkest yet. Raining hard and lightning returned.
Commentator: Let's use this rain delay to talk about what a head case Maverick is.
Wind is at awning ripping levels. Should blow over in 20 minutes or so.
COTA management only "allowed" 2 wheeled scum to dirty their site when they realized they couldn't support their palace on just the F1 race. I seems that hasn't improved.
I don't think so. Future radar shows that going right over the track moving NE. Looks like it will not clear up until after 1pm at least.
That cracked me up. Sounds like they were drawing straws to see who went to Mav's debriefs last season. Conversely, its nice to see Petrucci save the commentators quite a bit of empty track blathering by giving that long interview to Amy.
Thanks to all the ADVers at the track for the updates.
All Q to happen at scheduled time. It looks doable.
I was told you Americans were the best in the world.
John Hopkins is party darn good at TV commentary! Best I've heard in a long time. He must be a natural...
It's a blast hearing Hopper give his two cents. I would love it if he was around more often
I have just finished watching Qualifying and I came here to post my kudos to Hopkins's commentary. Very nice indeed.
One hell of a race going on in the SBK race one.
I wonder how Dovi will get on with his starting spot, to whit his comments after Argentina about having to be in the lead of the pack to preserve his tires. He won't be able to control it tomorrow unless that hole shot device really earns it's pay at the start. I did enjoy Hopkin's commentary and it made me think just how far Simon has advanced since last year, he is so much more natural now days with his questions and observations (which are so good and things I'd never think about or see).
Thanks very much for the local pics! Please keep them coming.
I suggest HRC choose the garage closest to Pit Exit at COTA in the future.
Would be nice to have the MotoGP race be 1/2 as exciting at the front.
