Broken steering stops on the Aprillia? Bring it back to Indy is the only solution.
Those bumps are terrifying. Nothing but admiration for both the bravery and tallent of the riders pushing so hard on that track.
I've lived in Central Texas all my life. The Balcones Fault runs north/south roughly along highway 35. West of the highway the ground is stable, but east of the highway around Austin all of the ground is a thick layer of black soil. It is really fertile farmland, but it turns to thick sticky mud when wet, and is very unstable. It's the worst location for a race track in this whole area.
Miller very fast this morning!
Also funnyish story.
Walking up out of tunnel past MA pits. Saw Toni Elias riding up the side road on a scooter and stopped to watch him. Crosswalk guard jumped out in front of him yelling he couldn't be there and he had to go back. I think he asked about a pass and Toni didn't have one. Toni tried to drive around but crossing guard about yanked the bars out of his hands. Lots of yelling back and forth until another guard walked up and distracted guard #1 enough for Toni to throttle it by him. Wish I would have recorded it.
Amazing how a track can take one of the closest racing classes and turn it into a semi snooze fest.....
And since he was discussed earlier, saw Mat Mladin in the MA pits esrlier. I was standing next to him and didn't recognize him until someone asked for a picture pic. He has got huge! Looks like he spends a couple hours a day in the gym a day. Looks more like a body builder than a racer.
Sorry, forgot to take a pic once again ...
The guy that doesn't have a ride and hadn't even ridden the Triumph Moto2 bike comes home 4th in the race, well done Pasini!
I miss Laguna Seca....
Tough luck for Baldasari. Wrong place, wrong time. Great rides by Luthi, Shrotter & Navarro. Absolutely stunning ride by Passini.
What happened to Binder? I turned the race on later than I had hoped.
Some kind of mechanical.
The line to pee! This is for the folks wishing they were here! This is the shortest it has been for a while.
I'm going with Marquez, Rins, Rossi. Dovi and Cal fight Rossi for 3rd. Maverick crashes out trying to recover from the ride through.
Somebody better get Maverick a padded room
Aw, Cal... OK, I'm not convinced Jack will be able to stay in the lead pack. So now I think Dovi has a shot at the podium, as Rins may goad the old GOAT into a mistake.
Do they have those in Superbike? That could extend his career another couple seasons. Of course, when Lorenzo shows up there it could push him off the edge...
And just like the old man is leading
My record as a failed prophet remains unblemished.
I should probably send an apology to MM.
