Kiwial, you're posting some great photos and I really like this one. I took the liberty of "pulling out" a bit more detail that was in your original exposure. I hope you don't mind.
Thanks for posting up the photos of your journey. I'm envious of your travels!
Oregon State Highway 218, between Shaniko and Antelope. Well know to twisty road lovers . . .
Wow, I love those period Craven looking panniers and top box on you RE. Takes me right back in time. Love the scenery too!
No worries and cheers.
As you can see, I travel light and only used my old Samsung S3 as a camera and since its mostly just for memory's sake I didn't bother putting them through editing software to get the most out of each shot.
And showing them here is also just to show how scenic the places in Ladakh, Zanskar and Spiti are.
But great to see the difference when edited. Cheers mate.
It's really hard to tell from these photos, but the bike's a Kawasaki W650. I found an extra fuel tank and tarted it up a bit. The Cravens were purchased used from an inmate here on ADVrider.
Silver Star mine along the CABDR
I see that bwhip62 has "liked" my photos of the Shaniko/Antelope road above. You should know that while I've ridden those roads for years, it was bwhip's superb photos of Oregon roads (among other highways) that inspired me to stop, turn the bike around, ride this section about three times, and attempt a poor imitation of his fabulous photography. He's got a thread dedicated to his highway rides that features his stunning camera work.

Thanks so much! So glad to inspire others, just as I have been inspired by so many on this forum!
Maybe not my best picture ... but my best 22 hr sunlight ride in a while. Denali in the background ... 1200 RT in the foregound ... and sublime "evening" ride faster than necessary in the golden heart middle of Alaska.
Let's see ... Colorado? New Mexico?
Close, US 50 Utah just east of the Nevada border
All my pic are on film but have never had any converted to digital.
