The stretch of mountains and winding roads seemed endless. After many turns, we finally came to "first bay".

The real challenge is about to begin.

It is recognized that the most difficult route to enter Tibet -- the third inspection line, which has 220 kilometers of non-paved road from Chawarong to Chayu.

The plateau environment is in the snowmelt season, so it is necessary to pay attention to the quicksand and falling rocks on the mountain.

With a large group and no supply points in between, it was a difficult task to get a large team through safely and smoothly.

This road is difficult and beautiful at the same time, which is endowed with mysterious color and attracts many knights to conquer.

Yunnan-Tibet border, the beautiful road between the canyons, along the nu river upstream, we brothers started a new journey.

Coming to the Yunnan-Tibet border, we officially entered the Tibetan area.

Farewell to the flat road, we rode into the non-asphalt pavement.

On the left, there are cliffs and the raging nu river.

On the right, there is a large rock face, on which the rocks are tottering.

The water holes in the middle of the road and the stones that have rolled down make the cycling brothers be full of energy.

I lived in China for 17 years. Every year I dreamed of making the "Tea Horse Route" trip up the Nujiang. It took 10 years to build that road between Chawarong to Chayu. Sadly, I was never able to make the journey. Please share some more pictures and the GPS track for the route.

The elevation gradually rises, mixed with the drizzle, the non-pavement sand and stones are still dusty.
Famous locations, "tiger mouth" and "big quicksand" seem to await the arrival of Fufeng brothers.

But the real challenge begins on the 220km of unpaved road from Chawarong to Chayu - crossing three snow-capped mountains at an altitude of more than 4,500 meters without any supply points and before dark or risk life.

After passing the first pass, they had to find a village to stay in in order to restore their strength.

Altitude sickness and bad weather made our ride incredibly difficult. We hesitated and dithered, but continued on our path.

We were in this beautiful natural scenery, looking for pure and beautiful away from the hustle and bustle. Seabirds in the sky seemed to welcome the visitors from far away.

We didn’t rush, we only felt the way. Stopped for a break and pulled out the snacks to enjoy the beautiful view.

Seabirds smelled the fragrance of the food came over, share the food with birds. Perhaps, this is the harmony between man and nature.

Explore the holy Yushu, the source of the Tree River Source by riding the "Tang and Tibet ancient road" (1)

More than 1,300 years ago, when the Tang and Tibet kingdoms made peace with each other, Princess Wencheng set out from Chang 'an in the west on a long journey to the distant Tibet.
From Chang 'an to Lhasa, it is about 3,000 kilometers long and almost runs through the whole northwest of China. It is now called the "Tang Tibet Ancient Road".
    Explore the holy Yushu (13).jpg

Most of the ancient road was inhabited by barren valleys and high snow mountains.Only after entering the beautiful Yushu, can you see the continuous meadows and rivers.
    Explore the holy Yushu (1).jpg

Yushu city is an important intersection point on the Tang-Tibet ancient road, and Jiegu Town, the seat of the prefecture capital of Yushu Tibet Autonomous Prefecture has been the folk trade center at the junction of Qinghai, Sichuan and Tibet since ancient times

The crystal blue lakes, the vast green grasslands, the holy and charming snow-capped mountains, the ancient temples and white pagoda, as well as the birthplace of the mother rivers of the Chinese nation, the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, and the source of the Lancang River, the mother river that nourishes the six Southeast Asian countries, all belong to the unique beauty of Yushu.

Follow the movement track of the brothers' cycling team in Fufeng and walk into the Xinzhai Mali Stone City.
    Explore the holy Yushu (5).jpg

It is a magical place with a history of 1700 years. Mani Stone Pile is a magnificent place with the largest scale in the world. It is also known as "the world's largest place for praying and wishing", and those who come here are shocked and amazed by it.

The Fufeng brothers' two-day trip to Yushu is a journey of ecology, culture and belief. It is just like a dream, but it is as true as a legend that has been passed down for a long time.....
