A motorcycle trip to Jiexi, a county in Guangdong Province

In March of 2020, Fufeng brothers finished their two-day motorcycle trip to Jiexi County in Guangdong Province.
    fufeng-jiexi.jpg
Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, Jiexi County's great northern mountains offered Fufeng brothers a sense of calm.
The weather and sunshine were very comfortable in March, and it was a good time to cycle with the gentle breeze blowing through their faces and hair.

When talking about the Jiexi County, the Chaoshao and Hakka food is too delicious to miss. Below are some of the most typical food in Jiexi County.
It is a kind of dessert called Fenguo in Chinese.
Its outside was made of glutinous rice flour and its inside was covered with minced meat.
Tofu cubes was made of soybean and was fried in a special way, making it crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It tasted better with the Leek sauce.
    fufeng-jiexi-4.jpg
Lei Cha, a traditional Southern Chinese tea-based beverage or gruel, was very prevalent among Hakka people in Hakka regions.

For all motortrips, short-term or long-term, near or far from the city, there would be accidents. Luckily, Fufeng Brothers always helped each other to go through these difficulties, and made every motortrip as part of their greatest moment of their life.

Fufeng Brothers' First Motortrip to Fujian in 2020, five days of 1300 km

This time they made Fujian as the destination of their first ride in 2020 with 26 motorcycles. It took 5 days for them to finish this 1300 km motortrip.

    Roadmap.jpg
    Roadmap

They started from Shenzhen and arrived in Meizhou when finished first day riding, about 380km.
They spent only one night in Meizhou to enjoy the local food and had a short break.

The next day, they continued their motortrip to Fujian, and had been stayed in Fujian for next 2 days and visited the Fujian tulou, temple and others.

    Fujian tulou

The Fujian tulou are Chinese rural dwellings unique to the Hakka in the mountainous areas in southeastern Fujian, China. They were mostly built between the 12th and the 20th centuries.

A tulou is usually a large, enclosed and fortified earth building, most commonly rectangular or circular in configuration, with very thick load-bearing rammed earth walls between three and five stories high and housing up to 800 people.

Because the Spring Festival was coming, red lanterns are hung in the tulou, filled with warm and festive atmosphere.

Fufeng Brothers took photos in front of the tulou.
The sharp contrast between the modern industrial motorcycle and the ancient Chinese architecture, brought a kind of special beauty.
    temple.jpg
    [IMG]
After leaving the tulou, they headed for the temple and Guitian.
    return2.jpg return1.jpg
Last day, they began to return back to Shenzhen.

A five-day motortrip to Fujian ended.

    More fun on the way.

Thank you for posting the photos and details of your trips. I'll never make it to many, many places that I'd like to visit, so it's fun to see what your area of the world looks like from the perspective of motorcycle riding.

I really like this photo. It seems to eloquently express a 1000 words, as they say.

Most countries don’t have special laws for motorcycles. No other country that I’m aware of requires a guide to be in tow. China is out of reach for the vast majority of foreign motorcyclists, and even if I could afford it, having a ‘guide’ just isn’t what adventure motorcycling is about. I’ve ridden over 45 countries and plan to do many more before my time is up. I really Hope China is one of them, but it just isn’t going to happen with the current laws.

Thanks, OnTheWay, for posting the thread. It's good to be afforded a look at how you enjoy your bikes.
I was checking some Chinese motorcycle tour organisers, and was glad to see they have a sense of humor, including
some prejudices about what a prototypical Caucasian applicant might look like :-)

Thank you for your sharing here. :D A significant change in Guangdong and Fujian are easily found from these two similar reports.

Riding from Guangdong to Fujian is very popular in southern China and many motorcycle lovers would have a motortrip when the weather is favourable. Hope you could have another motortrip in northern Guangdong soon and you are warmly welcome to join us.

Yes, compared with other countries, it will be more complicated to ride in China with these documents or driving license needed. If you could handle those documents or license by yourself, a 'guide' would not be an must have option.

10 Days Wonderful Motorcycle Trip in Xinjiang--- Episode 1

Actually, Xinjiang and Tibet are two of the most desirable place to ride in China. Especially in autumn, it would be the best season to ride in Xinjiang to experience its natural beauty and unique culture.

When talking about Xinjiang, most people would associate it with a number of ethnic groups, changeable weather and others. Fufeng brothers experienced Xinjiang with their motorcycles in a different way.

In September of last year Fufeng brothers had finished their wonderful motorcycle trip in Xinjiang.

Great pictures of exiting trips! I saw you in Sweden.
I live close to the Norwegian border and close to Karlstad, where you were in the newspaper. So when I saw you, you must have been on your way towards Norway.
I mean, Chinese registered motorbikes is not something you see on the Swedish or Norwegian streets every day.
