very disappointed. Production date was 2/2018.
    Never went under 35 psi.
There about 20 cracks on the rear tire. Front seems ok.

Purchase from Rocky Mountain ATV in April. Mounted it on 6/30/2018.
Tire was stored inside before mounting.

I had a brand new set of Mitas E0-7 do that to me, having those cracks around the knobbies. I replaced them after half life.

I'm pretty sure it's a one off / QA failure type of thing. Can't see how this would be a design flaw situation.

At least now I know it isn't unique to just the Mitas tires..

Perhaps send it back? I have sent back another brand of tire before and they replaced for free. I did however have to ship the defective tire back to them as proof.

Same thing happened to peter640. He got a new replacement Motoz tire from Liors Motoride Corona California. He won’t put it on though! Didn’t even show them the defective tire. All done by email. They must know about this.

Had the same thing happen to a front on my AT. Squirley on the dirt and near death wobbles on pavement on the way home. Off after that one ride. Almost circumferential cracking along only one side

same. these were going to be my next tire.

sounds like some manufacturing improvements are needed. the design is great, tread-life is good but cracks are no bueno.

I wonder if it has something to do with the amount of natural rubber they are using?

Came across this after searching about this issue. I had heard about this issue happening to the Adventures but had heard that the GPS were fine.

Currently on my Central America trip. Shortly after my departure from Florida I started to notice small cracks. Now, currently in Mexico and the cracks are significantly larger. Going on 7500 miles on them and I question the integrity of what's left of the tyre. I thought they were supposed to be the Heidenau killers!!!
    So much for that...... 20190221_182559.jpg 20190221_182732.jpg 20190221_182826.jpg

I would definitely reach out to Motoz. I ran my GPS for over 9000 miles and had no issues at all. I would hope that a company that is so focused on the ADV market would stand behind their product and correct it as soon as possible. We are a demanding and verbal crowd.

That is sad to see. I've got over six thousand miles, a BDR and lots of Alabama National Forest trails on a set of Tractionator GPS tires. I couldn't be happier with mine. Mine are going strong with lots of life still left. I installed mine in April 2018, just prior to riding the MABDR in May. Lots of interstate (80+ mph) and highway riding in addition to a significant amount of offroad riding.

If you get a replacement from the company, I hope they work much better for you. I still intend to replace my set with another set of Tractionator GPS tires.

Are you running your tires in 50/50 or mostly offroad ?

I wonder if the cracking problem is occurring because of high speed riding? The tires are either Q (99 mph) or T (118 mph) depending on size. Is anyone that is seeing the cracking exceeding these speeds? I want to try these tires but this is scaring me a little.

Remember, I've seen these in other manufacts / brand as well, such the Mitas e07 before.. not common, but they do occur.

I didnt run them faster than 85 miles. 75% pavement..

It just best to reach out and return them if you catchh them early for top prorated refunds / credits..
