Cruised up to the "Ski Bowl "on Shasta, The road goes to about 7,000 ft, Ski area avalanched out many yrs ago in 1978.
Circumnavigated around the mtn on logging rds,about 75miles. A few yrs ago, a lake formed inside the "Mud Crk Glacier,which collapsed one August night and sent many tons of debris down Mud Crk,wiping out some Forest Service Rds. and bridges. This bridge was about 30ft above the old crk bed..Mother nature at work!
Did some Fall exploring around the Upper McCloud river. Most beautiful day !

Love the Mt. Shasta area. Barely scratched the surface, but still fortunate to have camped there and explored a bit on 3 trips so far with another visit in 18. Great photos!

Finally had some rain ,no more smoke!! .Rode out from home to enjoy a spectacular warm fall day
Wandered out to Lake Siskiyou ,very peaceful this time of yr.
Headed up above the lake to the trails on the ridge , trails still nice after the rain ! First new snow up high on the Mtn.
Wandered around and back to home.

Awesome pics and area; have spent a couple different vacations on Shasta Lake, but haven't done anything around the mountain. Definitely looks to be an awesome area to explore and ride, bet camping there is fantastic

All the above!! Very lucky! Like to use the Motos to access,seldom seen places especially remote creek drainages,Bring some shorts and hiking shoes

I like to come up Ramshorn rd. and play around and jumped over Stewart's gap a few weeks ago ......
Much better than when I tried in june......
