    003a.jpg Winter ADV motorized recreation,,,Amazing snow machines!! Long track,big motors,suspension,,do incredible things in deep ,steep snow. KLIM gear is very popular with these guys.Aprox 9' of snow

    Nice snow pack!! I read that Mammoth has received over 32ft of snow to date! Hope it keeps up, and the weather forecast looks it.

    002b.jpg BIG wet winter,140% of normal, couple of big avalanches. Went from winter to summer,snows melting fast,, 60 degrees @ 6,000' ! County road crew does an amazing job keeping the rd.open all winter for recreation..(our economy)
    Most dual sport stuff is still buried ,lots of down trees,Oh well.

    Man, you are making me miss home. I lived on the other side of the Siskiyous near Talent, grew up there.

    Lots of folks have never heard of the State of Jefferson, and there is a big push to renew the notion. Folks feel double crossed by their "representation" from Sacramento and Salem, they want local folks deciding how the locals live, work, and play.

    The vote on T.S.O.J. was scheduled for Dec 8 1941, and we all know what happened Dec 7th.

    A few years ago our county voted against the idea .figured out we're subsidized by the rest of the state.shools ,roads etc.

    Military Pass is good sandy rt to the east of and close to Mt Shasta.

    Friend ,snowmo"d to his cabin at Medicine Lake to see if it survived ,,it did,,Still 8 ft. of snow there,,no exploring for awhile!

    Did a loop weekend before last to see how far I could make it up Ramshorn but only got to the clear cut before snow...:baldy
