Try and hit Needles highway when you get over to the black hills. Do that early in the morning to avoid traffic.

Damn man it’s gonna be like 400 miles/7-8 hours.

I thought it was was 150-180 miles from west Yellowstone to Red Lodge. The trip up Chief Joseph should add 60 miles or so.

Edit: i see, you are not staying the night in Red Lodge.

The roads after Red Lodge get pretty flat and straight. You should make real good time.

Also going through the park. I mean it says it’ll take me like 3.5 hours to hit red lodge. That’s simply incorrect. Probably 2.5.

I know you are familiar with twisting that right grip pretty far. Passing in the park can be done pretty safely. Many people drive 25 in the 45 zones and you can get around them.

I experienced it yesterday when I went to old faithful. Lots of dotted lines too.


Late start as you can see...keep finding it hard to motivate to get up and out before 9-10 am.

At my hotel in Sheridan Wyoming. Beartooth was sick. All of it was sick. I think I saw 1000 buffalo. Easily hundreds.

I managed to run out of fuel lost on some godforsaken 80 mile stretch of gravel and rough road somewhere in Montana, rather than taking the easy way. Somehow, I came to a stop at a home...4 trailers on a farm. No other home for a mile either direction. Knocked on the door and of course they weren’t there. So I thought well shit I’m on a farm there’s gas somewhere. Found the lawnmowers and low and behold there was about a cup of fuel on a container. I stole some poor bastards gasoline somewhere in Montana. It was amazing....hurried so fast cause I thought I’d get shot!

bike holds 4.6 gallons and I ran out at 133 miles. I was going way, way, way too fast.

Oil change done. About to leave the hotel and ride 200 miles down 90 to sturgis.

Found camping 1.5 miles from Sturgis.


I’m currently at a wet T-shirt contest attached to a strip club.

I wish...disappointed in myself. I found the wet tshirt contest like just as it was ending so I didn’t get any photos....it most definitely was attached to a strip club. I also watched women ride on the back of a Harley trying to take a bite out of a hotdog dangling above, kinda like a limbo.
Then I went to The Buffalo Chip. I saw quiet riot. There was another strip club inside this place. This whole thing is fucking bonkers.


So safe to say I’m reallllly taking it easy this morning.

Y’all ever made a huge fucking mistake? How about two within very short spans of time?

last night I left the concert at full throttle saloon around 1130. Turning left out of the gravelly parking lot, I ate shit. Like a stupid drunk kid. Tore my knee all up, bike is fine.

I immediately hopped on and went into the small saloon across the street where the owner was more than accommodating with giving me first aid stuff.

then I got a dui. I was going from there to camp, less than ten miles. Two lane road, 35 mph, and a cop is really close behind me. Closer than 2 car lengths. So I slowed up thinking he’d pass me. I was going like 30 in the 35 and he pulled me. Blew a .16 and of course weed and paraphernalia. So I spent the last night of sturgis mostly in jail. Because I’m such a cordial morherfucker, they dropped the weed charges. I took my lumps plead guilty to dui and paid a 750 dollar fine. My license is suspended 30 days starting the 18th.



so unfortunately....I fucked everything up. I’m now going to take a more expedient route towards home and have to focus less on ripping good roads and just cover 2k miles. I’m still planning on rolling into Deals Gap motorcycle resort this upcoming Saturday, and that will essentially be the finish line.

I can’t be too mad at myself, I had such an incredible adventure day in and day out. This sucks right now but I know in a couple days I’ll feel better.
