This is a picture of my old bike, the one that got destroyed, RIP
I am over in Coachella Valley with 2014 looks just like yours. Hope you get better soon!
Have you ridden the Grapevine Canyon trail? I think that is where I took the picture of my old bike.
Haven't ridden it but it's on my radar now. Thanks
I did it on my F800GS but it was a lot more fun with my DRZ 400. Shoot me a PM after I heal a bit more I want to do it again when I'm well enough. I know a couple of good places to eat in Borrego Springs.
I got myself a standard seat from Ebay to replace the low model and it cleaned up really well.
I just got some crash bars and I am walking
Hope it doesn't hurt too bad to walk...
No more crashes!
I'm sure I'll crash again but it won't be as bad as getting T boned by an SUV going 50mph. Usually I just fall down going really slow through technical stuff, get up and brush off my bike. walking feels better than standing because my foot/ankle can swell up really badly if I'm not moving.
Keep up the good work. Are you on any pain meds? I started off with a cocktail of percosets and oxy every 2 hours. Worked that down to just 2 aleve per day, and I'm fine with pain. I use it as a measure of where I am in terms of fitness, flexibility, and strength.
While I was in the Hospital it was Dilaudid and Percocet. The Dilaudid was really strong and I'm a bit paranoid about pain killers since I grew up in an area with drug addicts and I have seen bad things happen. But I needed pain meds to sleep and I needed to sleep to heal. I had a prescription for percocet when I discharged but I never had it filled. Right now I'm trying to get off of the last of the heart medicines that the Cardiologists put me on.
