Some of you remember I recently sold my 950 to a great guy from North Dakota, but not before she left an off-spring waiting to hatch. The baby was delivered from Dr. Curtis at Cycle Town South and is now ready to hit the road. Curtis installed a Trick Dual Sport kit on the 525 EXC so it's now street-legal and several carbon-fiber with reinforced kevlar items from E-Line were added as well as a Comfort Seat from Enduro Engineering. I also added a Touratech GPS mount for the Garmin 276C, so she should be ready to hit the trails. Obviously, I will not ride it to the far-off destinations like I did the 950, but rather haul it to those locations (Arkansas, Moab, Ouray, Idaho, etc.) and later pick up a R1200GS for the long-distance touring. I went this route to have a better suited bike (for me) for pure off-road, as it doesn't feel much heavier than my WR250F, but a WHOLE LOT MORE PUNCH! :evil

That's as straight as the crossbar will go because the mounting brackets hit the brake line on the right...and if I put away the GPS, I won't know where I'm at after I pass my mailbox! :dunno

Great bike, Bart! Just out of curiosity-will you use the GPS as an hour counter for the engine? I always wondered how an owner would go about that-since service intervals are given in time, rather than miles.

I did not mean to pick on you it just seems like you trade off some pretty nice bikes in a short time and I like the way you set them up :1drink

PeeBee: The KTM EXC odometers have an hour counter function built in. Makes it easy to monitor service intervals.
